If you are hunting I-17 it can only be parked four hours. After that it is subject to be towed. An interstate allows two hours in the city and four hours outside.

Thanks all. It all happens for a reason. I spoke to the guy that slept there at the end of Saturday when we got our blind and all he saw was a spike. I definitely think his sleeping bag and cot 100 yards from the waterhole lying out hurt his odds with smell traveling all over the flat and to the bedding canyons. I would have slept much further away and started driving when I heard the next person coming in. But...it all played out perfect! The spot holds some big deer and is rough country, but at least I get to watch others play the game until 2021.

Got beat fair and square, but it definitely paid off! I will say we got paid the same respect on the water we were on. Four hunters the first day and one the second day turned around before they got to the water. Good karma I guess!

My 12 year old sons 2020 Archery Coues

Good work Tanner! -
There are some great bulls in 5A. Last year we had a bunch in the 275-330 class running around but the rut started late. We were on a bigger bull by the end of the hunt but he was running a lot of cows. It really depends on how patient he is and finding a bull a few days before the hunt that will hopefully keep its cows. There have been 400” bulls in the unit but I would be happy with anything over 350”.

Heck of a buck with a string and a stick! Good work. -
Don’t need expired tags when you are doing 84 in a 75😁

I just picked up a .243 for $129. Be a nice shooter for my daughter in a few years. The one on Estrella has one left with a scope. Everything else is gone. -
That is awesome. My cameras need some work!
-
Okay, pretty much stuck there. Good luck.

Just put two arms on the gate so it sits back about 15 degrees. Did that with mine and it worked. I also backed it on and that saved a few inches with the bed hanging over. Plus, your headlights and windshield will not get hit with road debris.

It is not the dry weight, it is the unladen weight. You would have to look at your title or is should be on the VIN plate. If you go buy any new four seat UTV, the dealership will register your street legal, which is about $500. They know about the change as well. I bought one as well as three others I know and one was your model above. If your title shows less, it should be an easy trip to the MVD.
-
They changed the law for side by sides. If it weighs over 1,800, it is not eligible for the OHV sticker discount. That is why everyone is seeing the increase. Pretty much every four set UTV is over that weight and a lot of the two seaters are as well. Remember, the vehicle license tax is what is costing so much. The actual registration fee is only $8. The chart below explains the new categories. You will see full vehicle tax once the vehicle is over 1,800lbs. This is judged by the weight on the title, not a local scale. The days of getting a four seater registered for under $20 are pretty much gone.

Unit 23 is pretty much closed, so that one is easy to cross off.

My son will be happy to have them. Be great for pigs in October, his coues hunt in December and many more after that.
-
If they fold apart can you separate at the hinge to make two ramps?
-
You would have to spend a lot of money to keep up with the General in ground clearance, suspension, and power to weight ratio. Also, you would be way more top heavy and not as stable on some of the terrain we drive on to hunt. As they say, time is money.

The half windshield was perfect on the Ranger. I have a full on the General and will be adding a rear. Too many scouting and hunting trips with rain dripping down through the front.
-
Yes sir. One of my buddies did and it was awesome. In that pic I don’t have the spare tire in but it stands up on the right side.
-
This is how you keep the dust off your gear. Two totes on the bottom for backpacks and hunting gear, food tote on top and an ice chest. Gear was always clean. Now I just have to figure out how to keep the gear clean on the General. Sorry for the sideways image
-
My buddy builds the racks. He built the one on my Ranger. Same concept, with a few modifications.
-
We will be in 21 for December coues as well. Looking forward to watching my son go at it again.

I just went from a Ranger with 9100 miles to a General 4 XP. The Ranger ride is not even close to the General XP. It is amazing how much more smooth and faster it is. Once my rack is done I will be okay with the lost storage space for a nicer ride to our hunting spots.
