No sheep for me. BPs purchased for all the rest. Brian -
I have had no issues with it at all, but I do brush in all my blinds really well so camo pattern really isn't a big deal for me. Brian

That's awesome! Looks like a great time. Brian

Blake, here is the one I have been using for the past couple years and I really like it. I love the windows as they are made for bowhunters as they angle down low so you dont have to worry about your arrow hitting bottom of window. http://cgi.ebay.com/Yukon-Tracks-AV177-Dispatcher-Elite-BackLand-Adrenaline-/360378418570?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53e83a458a Brian

"The Draw" and a new topic....
standman replied to Ace High Benny's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
In 29, 24a and 23 archery hunting I get checked all the time. I have no problem with being checked at all. Had a lady officer in 23 last August come into camp after my brother killed his deer and she checked us then did the CWD thing on my brothers buck for testing. Brian -
No sheep for me. Dad drew 23 oct. coues. Nephew got 3a/3c. Brian

Sounds like fun! Boat traffic there on weekends let alone a holiday is terrible especially if you are looking for yellows. I'm headed back there in the morning hopefully the fish are still biting as good as they have been. Brian

There is a new fire that was started this morning by Heber. Seeing lots of smoke and a large plume building from here in lakeside. Brian http://m.wmicentral.com/mobile/article_7165d69a-9dc4-11e0-91de-001cc4c002e0.html

My nephew and I hit Apache at daylight this morning looking to catch a few fish. We started of dropshotting and the fish were hitting good. We ended up catching 24 nice bass dropshotting. After a while the bite slowed so we went looking to do a little spoon fishing and ended up catching 4 more bass, 18 nice yellow bass, and 1 catfish. It definately was a hot day, both fishing and temperature wise. So we ended up with 28 bass total (4 smallies, 24 lg mouth). Also lost two real big smallies spooning. It was a great time and here are a few pics of my nephews fish include one "trophy" large mouth caught on dropshot. Brian Here is the trophy fish. Caught in the mouth and released unharmed.

Can't believe I missed this post. Looks like you had an awesome time Jason. Great pics. Been a long time since I've been down there. Hopefully the fish survive the ash filled runoff. Again, great pics and story! Brian

My dad and I hit Roosevelt for 3 hours this morning. Although fishing wasn't as fast as Apache we caught some real nice fish. We caught some on dropshot and some on jerk baits. No wind at all. Nice morning. Brian

Here is a link to a slide show of wallow fire pics. Really good pics. Brian

My dad and I hit Apache Lake this morning a little after daylight. Water was 75 degrees with a little breeze out of the north. We hit out favorite spots throwing crankbaits and jerkbaits for the first hour with not even a sniff. We switched to dropshot and it was on. We ended up catching 30 bass total this morning with 28 lms and 2 smallies. All were nice solid fish. It was nice, saw only one other boat on the water. Brian

Most were caught in 10-15 ft of water with the deepest being in 25 ft of water. Brian

Posted: Sunday, June 12, 2011 10:18 am | Updated: 10:52 am, Sun Jun 12, 2011. BREAKING: Going Home! - evacuation orders lifted for Round Valley residents As of Sunday, June 12 at 10 a.m., residents of the Springerville, Eagar and South Fork areas who were evacuated because of the massive Wallow Fire will be allowed to return to their homes. After consulting with fire officials, it has been determined that the fire risk has diminished enough that it will no longer be a threat to the citizens of the towns. But, it should be noted that the smoke from the wildfire still poses serious health hazards as has been outlined by Chris Sexton, Apache County health director, and the smoke problems may continue for weeks. Because of the health problems associated with smoke from the Wallow Fire, Apache County Public Health Services District and the Emergency Operations Center warns residents of Eagar and Springerville that it would be best not to return to their homes until the concentration of smoke diminishes. Air quality for Eagar and Springerville (Round Valley) has been in the “Unhealthy” to “Hazardous” range for the last few days. The elderly and very young and those with existing respiratory problems like emphysema and asthma face increased risk by exposure to tiny Particulate Matter 2.5 microns and if they return, they do so at their own risk knowing the hazards associated with possible health effects from wild fire smoke. Information about current smoke conditions can be accessed at http://www.phoenixvis.net/PPMmain.aspx. Symptoms from short-term exposure to smoke include scratchy throat, cough, irritated sinuses, headaches, runny nose and stinging eyes, and more serious reactions among those in high-risk groups. Elevated levels of PM also increase the potential for asthma attacks and other asthma-related symptoms in children. Air pollutants have been associated with increases in respiratory problems and diseases in children, including reduction of lung function and increased severity or frequency of asthma attacks. Air pollutants have also been associated with a number of other adverse health effects, including cancers and heart disease. People with health issues (heart or lung disease, COPD, emphysema or asthma) should only return if absolutely necessary. Residents dependent on oxygen should wait to return to their homes. Hospitals and medical resources are limited. The White Mountain Regional Medical Center is waiting for air quality to improve before opening to admit patients. Only the emergency room is open at this time. Anyone needing to be admitted will need to be transported to another hospital. NOTE: Highway 260 is closed at Greer. Alpine & Nutrioso is still under an evacuation notice.

It was just reported on the local news channels that crews have been pulled from the Greer area for safety reasons.

If you want to read something else that is sad, read the comments from people at the end of this MSN article about the fire. Amazing how people can have so much hatred. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/43290922/ns/weather Brian
