I thought of a blue screwdriver! Just proves it, I'm abnormal. Just proved my mom right. Brian

I sure wish I could make it, but that little addiction of coues hunting gets in the way. Tj, you and Peg are really good people for doing this. Sure everyone will have a great time. Brian

I reload my own shells and have been for over twenty years and I use just #4 copperplated shot in 2 3/4". Works excellent. Knocked down many a coyote out to 70 yards. Brian

Yesterday I saw five different bucks with does chasing hard. Also saw a couple other bucks that were bird dogging it all over the mountain searching for does. So it was picking up where I was at.

I have talked to several different game wardens in a few different regions and thier response was the same in only one way, that it was up to the warden to interpret the law how he sees it. One said that he considers road hunting anyone who is driving in a vehicle with a gun or bow that is not in a case and not readily accessible. Another said that as ling as you do not have a bullet in the chamber or arrow nocked and you get off the road edge then you are ok. And finally another used an example of if you are driving down the freeway, see a coyote pull off the road, go out and call him in and kill him, then you would be cited for road hunting. This is my problem with the whole situation. They all have different ways of interpreting the law. You never know from one region to another what is completely legal. Brian

We've got 15" here in Lakeside. It's a pretty wet heavy snow. I have a big oak tree in the front yard and it loaded up with snow and broke one of the main trunks off. It then proceeded to crush a corner and tongue of our camp trailer . Better than the house though. Brian

My dad went to Apache but got blowed off the lake early. Windy and cold. Brian

I had 5 points both times I drew goulds tags. Both hunts were the second hunt in the unit too. Brian

Yep it was Nick Johnson. Brian

ya i was stoked. i played there years ago, dain is a cool guy and i really liked him as a coach. Paul Moro and all the assistants are about the best in the country. glad hamilton lost so BR can keep the all time win streak record also. BR is loaded for next year too. glad the gold football is back at home! It is sweet when BR beats Show Low especially for the title. Glad to see the gold ball come back home. When did you graduate? I graduated from BR in '92. I never played football, I was a baseball guy so I was actually more excited to see BR win the state title last year in baseball. Don't know when I'll ever see that again. No Rio tag for me . Did get 23 archery pig . Brian

I have been hunting the late season archery hunt and there were quite a few scouters in the area and I don't have a problem with it. I would rather see them out scouting for their hunts than asking on the web for help and not stepping a foot in their unit until the hunt. Most people scouting scout from a distance anyway and are not trying to push the animals. Brian

This morning I was sitting in my blind on my archery elk hunt when at 8:45 this coyote caught me by suprise. Guess I should be paying more attention to what's out side my blind instead of my ipod . He was 32 yards out when I was able to put a Slick Trick perfectly behind the shoulder. He went about 40 yards and piled up. Brian

I need a fix. Somebody give me a rumor from somebody's nephew who knows somebody's sister who knows somebody's dad who knows somebody's aunt in the department when the day and time of the results will be out . Brian

Awesome bull! Congrats! Definitely a tough hunt. Brian

That's why I am just going to kill another buck in January so I can sit back and enjoy my last days. Brian

What the heck! This isn't fair to all us old school guys who put in by paper! The system needs to be changed so all of us find out at the same time. just not fair. Congrats to those who drew something. I'll just rub it in when I find results out the old fashion way when I draw my rio or third goulds tag. Brian

Personally I don't have a big problem with crossbows. What I would like to see added to the crossbow rule is say that a person over seventy years of age could use one during archery season. My dad, 72, every year for him it gets harder and harder to draw a bow. Bow hunting is what he had done all his life and now 42 lbs is getting hard to draw for him. He just doesn't have the upper body strength anymore. Yet he will never qualify for the 90 % rule. This way he could still have the archery feel of a hunt. Just my .02 Brian

Strangest thing that has ever came into your call???
standman replied to lionhunter's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
About five years ago called in a wolf in unit 1. Last year called in a red tail hawk that decided he wanted my woodpecker decoy more than I. . He finally dropped it about 50 yards out. Brian -
I'll have to stop by this weekend in between my scouting trips for my up coming archery bull hunt that starts a week from Friday if you are going to be around. Ill call first. I can be head glasser in December. Sounds like fun too me. I can sit there and give directions with the best of them. Again, congrats on a heck of a buck. Brian
