Dang it man, those are some awesome bucks! Flippin' Sweet! Brian

Don't know what the inside spread is. The outside spread was the only measurement that we took on the buck.

Thanks for the story TJ! Congrats! Brian

Well I sat from 7 am till 330 pm. Never had a deer come through. Pics still show the activity at night. Only deer I saw today was a doe and fawn that I jumped this afternoon walking in to check out another spot. That's ok though, It's just a matter of putting my time in. Last year it took till late January before I got it done. Just got to be patient. Did get a lot of reading done today though. Back to it again tomorrow. Took some pics of a few of the scrapes that we are hunting. Brian

Natural. I don't freshen at all. So far they deer have been keeping them fresh.

January 2012... You can't kill all year long if you don't start the first day!

Congratulations on a sweet buck Gino! Brian -
Well today was about as slow as it gets. No deer seen. Pics show several bucks but they are working through at night. Only a matter of time before one screws up. I'll be by myself tomorrow. My dad is taking a day to rest up. Should be a good day tomorrow, found a lucky horseshoe while walking out today. Brian

Ok here we go. He had this buck come right in to a scrape at 930 this morning at 20yards. He drilled him. He went about 35 yards and piled up. He is a 4x3, broke one tine off when he fell but will get it fixed, and an outside spread of 18". He so wanted to get me out of my blind to show him off but he waited till I got out, picked me up, and we got pics taken. Here he is. Here are a couple pics in the back of the truck to show his width. Brian

We will start off with a teaser. My pig pics. Brian I had a slow morning in the blind. Had one deer come by don't know what it was. and had a buck grunting and chasing a doe behind me before it was light enough to see.

That is just way cool! Flippin' Sweet! Congrats! Brian

Hey Jason, it would be nice if it would happen that way. All I know is not to count your chickens before they hatch, been there done that. All a guy can do is put in the time and effort and then let the chips fall where they may. Hopefully these bucks keep hitting their scrapes and not go to another area looking for other does. We will see. Brian

This morning my good friend, Mark, and I went to one of my spots to try and fill his 2011 archery tag. It was a cold, rainy, and foggy morning. At 8:30 am this buck came by at 22 yards. Well here is the result. From where the buck was standing looking towards where he run. The last 10 yards before he died. There was never any doubt on the hit. It was definately a good morning. Brian

We want to thank everyone for all the congrats. Now on to January, finally. Brian
