Decided to go brave the heat this morning and go walleye fishing. Weather was hot and the fishing was pretty hot also. Good day! Brian

Crappie and walleye are both pretty equal, but if you put crappie, walleye, and yellow perch on a plate I'll go for the perch. Who ruined roosey? I second they are relatively equal, especially in cold water. I couldn't choose one. Also very curious who "they" is that ruined Roosevelt. My favorite is yellow bass. Would eat those over any. Brian What!? I've never even considered eating it. Do they have a blood vein? Nothing at all to worry about. Nothing like a striper. Love them. Just takes a lot of fish to make enough fillets.

I just laugh out loud every time I watch a hunting show and they smoke an elk in the evening and then not look for it till morning. Most if not all will be spoiled especially the side on the ground. I shot a bull right before dark one evening. Arrow through one lung. Searched till midnight couldn't find him. Came back first light in the morning found him twenty yards from where I quit the night before. Died behind a deadfall and couldn't see him at night. Meat was toast. Really sucks when it happens. The only warning is on catfish with eating a certain amount per week. All other fish are good to eat what you want.

Lures

We've caught bigger. I threw bigger fish back today. Had all we needed to keep. The Biggest fish we've caught has been 5-6lbs. Seen pics of a lot bigger but most are just good eating size.

Two but most of the time we were the only ones crazy enough to be out there.

This was up here in Lakeside in the White Mountains. It's just not right for up here to be this hot. Brian
