    Rifle scope question!

Both. Bench and with bipod. Was ringing steel all weekend between 400 and 700 yards with a 9x on the top end. It's not difficult and no feat. A good load and rifle makes things real easy.

    Rifle scope question!

I routinely shoot out to 700 yards with a 9x on the top end. You are fine. Fret the adjustments and low-light optics before objective size and power...

    question about 22-250

You have a 14" twist with that Sendero... Do you reload? If not, I'd find some factory 50 or 55 TTSX and rock on... If you reload, you have a few additional options.
  15. Either the faux ti .22-250 ackley shooting 80 bergers or the 7mm-08 shooting 120 ballistics.
  16. All scopes sold other than the Sightron Big Sky - Let's go $210 shipped for this scope. This is a bargain -
  17. I have 4 scopes for sale. All are matte, with each manufacturers duplex style reticle. Timestamp wins. Some have original boxes, some do not. Scopes are all in excellent condition. I am in Tucson and can do a FTF in the vicinity. I can text photos if you will PM me your number. 18. For kids, I'd fret the stock choice/LOP as much as the cartridge and what "long range" means to the kids. I'd not try to make them fit into a 13.5" LOP stock which is standard. I'd run a 12.5" LOP stock so they can have a better cheek weld/sight picture. Or, you may be able to get away with it running a scope like a Leupold VX-II fixed 6 as it has massive eye relief and a very generous eye box so you can play with the scope mounting latitude. For cartridge selection, I wouldn't get too fancy. A 6.5's recoil (dependent on the kids of course) with the aforementioned cartridges above with anything but mild 100's or 120's may be a bit much to practice with, which I'll assume they will do if you want to shoot "long range". For 400 yards and in, I would run a vanilla .243, load an 80 grain TTSX at mediocre speeds (under 3,100 or so), get a stock that fits them, run good glass with enough eye relief, and kill you lots of deer. Recoil will be mild to non-existent to us, but if we're talking kids, this is my recommendation. Find a youth model 700 in .243, bed it, and shoot it is what I'd do. Leave grandpa's gun alone...
  19. Viper sold - Other scopes updated with newer, reduced prices.

    .223 reloads gone bad Help

Stuck bullet is likely an uncharged case. Yellow stuff? I would ditch all reload and and start over. Ps - get a tumbler.
  22. I've been a lurker for a long while now but finally decided to register. Happy New Year's everyone - My wife and I moved to Arizona a couple of years ago and I've been pretty much obsessed with these deer since. Coming fom Texas, we have plenty of whitetails and it took me a bit to adjust to scoring 140" deer to 100" deer. He is just shy of 100" and was pretty rutty in early November, believe it or not. I was able to sneak within 350 yards of him only becasue he was running does all over the mountain. Here is the deer I took this year in early November. I just wanted to contribute since I read these forums almost daily. This years deer: Last years 84" deer relatively fresh to Arizona.
