Easiest place to build a fence to separate grazing pastures likely. There are fences all over the place.

For me in 6.5, something with 50-60 grains of capacity shooting a 140 at 3K is about perfect for a hunting cartridge - If I need more, I'll step up to a large capacity 7... I'll pass on the 26 Nosler -

Make sure you get a plain 1/4 MOA turret so you can use it for any load you ever want to shoot - Don't limit yourself to one load...

Bullets man. It trumps anything in .277" simply because of the bullets. It smokes anything in .277"...

I don't either. That's the range though that you can finally tell how good of a load you really have...grin... It's a blast to ring gongs way out there with rifles that weigh less than 7 pounds all up. It's nice to carry these same rifles way up and over the mountain too -

We are talking shooting competitions here? If so, sure the heavier contour rifles have inherent benefits. It irks me that hunters think they have to carry 12 pound rifles to shoot 500 yards - Light done right is a very good thing -

Dont believe the myth that light rifles will not shoot. And if you hunt hard, weight matters. What are all your categories that heavy rifles win in?

I'd put a camera up to make sure but it is too wet right now. Deer are scattered in southern Arizona. Many small tinajas and puddles all over the place. Many waters I keep track of will not be used until October/November or as soon at the monsoon tinajas and puddles dry up.

What bullet are you planning on running and throating for?
