Time for some Binocs. So... 8x or 10x... and Why?

I only use binoculars under 10x for scanning (hand holding). 10x has too much image shake for extended scanning with your hands. And, if there is any reason to pack along a tripod for glassing, then I'll pack along at least 12's. I prefer 6.5-8x at most for scanning.

    Remington 700 Custom 6.5-06

Figured a loony like you Lance may like it...grin... No CC accepted though. I'll look at trades plus cash on either end for 12x50 binoculars; swaro, leica, or meopta only OR flyweight to lightweight rifles in 6.5 mm or 7mm only. Rifles need to be no more than 5.5 pounds bare.

    getting close i think...

If you can, I'd shoot groups at that distance from the onset. Shotting at 100 yards in my opinion is pretty close to a waste of time and components.

M1 way better in all ways. A CDS can be in 1/4" MOA as well. I have 3.

    Light Weight Deer Gun?

Tikka t3 or the superlight. 16 ounce scope and rings will get you at 7 lbs all up on nose or a bit less. I'd run a 7-08 though, which we do...

    Foxpro CS-24 caller for sale

I have for sale a Foxpro CS-24 caller for sale. The caller is approximately 7 years old but still works like a champ. This is the top of the line for Foxpro but I believe a couple of newer versions have come out since. The newest version of the CS-24 retails for over $600. It is just too much caller for me and I just do not have the time anymore to do much calling. This caller has 168 sounds on it currently and has much more room for sounds to be added. Sounds range from prey in distress of all kinds, to coyote vocalizations to crows. The sound quality is extremely excellent and the remote has a good range. The caller has literally killed hundreds of coyotes, fox, and cats. A couple of years ago I had to rewire one of the wires from the caller to the battery box and it doing to snipped open thefabric of the battery carrier a bit so it was easier to take out and charge the batteries (in picture). I have had zero issues electrically with it since as it was a very simple reconnect. Caller does have some paint missing in areas simply from being carried and field and used but is still in excellent shape. The caller comes with the owners manual, the USB cable, the caller, the remote, and a carry bag for in the field. Price is $250. I am in the Tucson area.
