Anybody needing a coues rifle?

I have a custom rifle built on a Remington 700 for sale. I am in the Tucson area. Specs: Remington 700 action, old style Remington trigger tuned to 2.5 pounds (great trigger), 24" Brux # 3 barrel twisted 1:8. Stock is 13 1/2" LOP and is an old style MPI stock. Rifle was smithed by a smith in Idaho as told by previous owner. Action has been blueprinted. Weighs approximately 6 3/4 pounds as you see it in photos. Rifle balances well and shoulders great. I have not shot the rifle for groups at all but with the quality of the components, it should be a great shooter. Thraot and box is factory. Plenty of room to chase lands... I sent the barreled action to Eddie Fosnaugh last year along with the stock to work his magic. He checked out the smith work and said it looked great. He did his world famous bedding job along with his world famous ceracote and stock painting. Ceracote is the graphite black. Stock is patriot brown with black speckles. Rifle after painting has a textured feel. Rifle is a looker and aesthetically is like new. A few minor scuffs on the stock and some very light finish specs on the end of barrel are the only imperfections I can find, neither can be captured in photos. History: I bought the barreled action used. Previous owner said it had 80 rounds through it. I've shot it literally once for function and for feeding. Rifle was originally a neck turn rifle. After Eddie, I sent it to Karl Kampfeld for him to clean up the neck. After he cleaned it up, necking up .25-06 brass works perfecting. I'll include with the rifle 90-100 140 grain Bergers, 40-50 120 TTSX, and about 25 ct. 130 Accubonds which will ship with rifle. I'm keeping the dies as I may need them in the future. The brass I received with the rifle I'll try to locate and include that as well. Maybe 20-40 pieces of Winchester .25-06 necked up. Rifle will need to be mailed to your FFL. Yada, yada, yada. PM me for any questions or if I left something out. $1,600 shipped and insured. We can discussed payment options. No paypal.

Guys - The pig issue at some of my brothers land is becoming out of hand. This is from him driving around tonight. If anyone wants to have an affordable hog hunting trip and shoot literally a ton of pigs, give him a call. Website is above. He's a good ole dude. Thanks -

Why does hornady load data seem so much lower charge weight?
Big or Bust replied to apache12's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Yeah, I agree with lawyer. IMHO, the most accurate load data (read most unlawyered) is from Nosler... -

SHV. More likely to track properly if spinning turrets.. I'd get a 4-20 SWFA before them both... -

I'll take this rifle from you Scot.

Very nice. One of my rifles is this exact gun. I can shoot silly groups really far with it.... What a sweet setup and good luck with sale.

Easy there! I am 5' tall and drive a big lifted truck......and shoot a .300RUM.....guess I need to buy a .338 Lapua Mag Ackley Imp. now. Maybe even a .408 Cheytec. Lance, that's the only logical next step...

You literally have proven your own BC preaching nothing but a way to impress the road hunters. Until you started preaching to the wrong crowd. Lark is right, it never was about the BC. Funny stuff. I'll let you keep digging that hole now...

You're arguing against yourself bud. Hook, line, and sinker for sure. You'd make a super Gunwerks spokesman. Again, the ballistics 101 lecture not needed unless you need to keep hearing yourself say it. You didn't say you need the highest BC bullet possible on THIS thread but every cartridge thread that comes up in my limited reading on here you say something to that effect. Keep relying on that BC my man. It'll bring the critters to you. I'm not sure I'd brag a whole lot about that 1200 yard AMax shot. You'll impress the road hunters likely but that bullet at that speed even with the BC is a disaster waiting to happen in that cartridge... In all seriousness, this is all in good fun. Take a deep breath and go load up some 250 grain Bergers so you won't have to hike to that next hill, just shoot over it!
