For 120-140 grain bullets far and away the best powder is Ramshot Big Game for both velocity and accuracy IME. Safely, with 22" barrels in multiple rifles including notoriously slow Tikka barrels, 140's can get 2900-2950 at the upper node with good brass life and 120's can go 3100+....

Reloader 17 is a great 7-08 powder, as is H4350 and most others in that burn rate. For heavies in a 7-08, I like the 168 Berger VLD. Great bullet down to 1600 or so impact speeds and penetrates well. Run those numbers at 2,650 MV.

The amount of hunters this year is epic. It's bad. Like really, really bad....

It always is with regulators. It's all politics. All their minds are made up. It depends if someone can politically make them compromise or change their minds.... Public comments are just a charade they have to legally do.

+1. My first thoughts are that both the commissioners freely admit they didn't grow up hunting either and are first generation hunters, the first of their family. Them making big decisions with a bit of missing context is concerning. I listened and agree with these thoughts. I also came away with their continual reference of 30+ cameras per water that the entire ban is indeed related to the Strip, Kaibab, Unit 9 elk, etc. and not the majority of the state. They do make some valid points however IMHO...

Saw the buck today in person and I don't even know the hunter. We happen to share a taxidermist..... Super duper buck and yes, 110+" it is ... You internet picture scorers are a trip....

My confusion (and lots of people's I have now found out) on the thread stems from the level of ego to even start the thread which based on other threads I've been reminded of that you have participated in on this forum, I should visit the site more often and I would know how you conduct your business. Your mentor must be proud. Actions conducted with grace and selflessness without the overwhelming ego and narcissism, which is how you are coming across, is much more effective long term if you want folks to talk about you. That date has long passed and the above notice that restrictions are lifted says nothing about the Coronado.
