Are you really sure who you're voting for??

Lets see who you really agree with. http://abcnews.go.com/politics/MatchoMatic...page?id=5542139 Mcain for me. -
I drove up for the morning to check out a couple more areas, I will agree Mt Ord scares me, the thought of all the people on the mountain opening weekend. I drove through from Payson towards Doll Baby and south to Rye, kicked up a couple with a nice shooter buck. I haven't hunted that area before either. I haven't found where they water yet. Not sure if there are any small tanks scattered around. I did see lots of sign while I was hiking, it was pretty warm today. Any hints on the water situation would be helpful. Thanks, Jackmedic I went up and checked a few of the areas I have seen some decent buck. I did a lot of hiking (and it was HOT!) and can't seem to find any water in the areas I have seen them. They are in there so they have got to be getting water some place I just have not found it yet.I have found were there was water. But they are there so I'm not going to worry about it to much. Good Luck

Great job! Very nice bull.

OK!!! Whats up with the Corn Cobs?? Or do we want to know! I could use some good ammo to use on Andrew at our shoots. I'm sure Robert will be happy to sell you a Hoyt. You should see how those staggered Blazers shoot out of one. Wait Robert shoots Bowtech now!! But he still hunts with a Hoyt. I will stop now back to the Thread Great bull Congrats Again.

How to Squirrel Hunt?
BowNut replied to bowsniper's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Hey Mark, Your Coues spot is a good place to hunt them. I come from a long line of squirrel hunters and eaters LOL! The way we hunt is find fresh sign(Pine cones chewed up at the base of the trees) and just sit next to a tree wait. They just can not stand to sit to long they will start to move within a few min. If it is to windy just enjoy your time in the woods because chances are you are not going to see much to shoot at. And we never use shotguns. 22's only Sniper Style (To The Head) one shot one kill. Have a great time you and your son will love it! -
Congrats Clay! Great archery bull and a great story. Love the vanes! You need to tell Andrew Friends don't let Friends shoot Bowtechs.LOL! Just kidding it looks like it did a heck of a job. What broadhead did you use it looks like you hammered him good?

Successful Archery Hunt this Past Week!
BowNut replied to Dodgerboy999's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Thanks for sharing. Great buck and bear. When they going to have the FOB's for my 3D Fat Shaft? I'm still waiting -
As far as I know they can if they are physically challenged. You can't always tell they are. I ran into a guy this year on my deer hunt but he had his permit on the dash of his truck. Not sure if it has to be displayed in the open or not. Talking to him I would have had no idea but he showed me the permit when I saw the crossbow.

Spot and Stalk Rocks!! I made it out late today. I had been to this area twice and have had trouble finding deer there. My buddy tells me "They are there" . Well I get there at about 11:00 and hike in its HOT Dang Hot!! By noon I'm set up and glassing. By 12:05 I got three nice bucks bedded under a tree 442 yards(I ranged it) away. Wind is great blowing hard in my face I slap on some face paint and its time to roll. I pick a tree I want to work my way to about 100 yards from the bucks so I can get a better look at them. Its now 1:45 I'm at my tree/bush and I can't see the deer! There GONE! I didn't see them leave they had to be there. I start to work slowly around the down hill side of the tree because they were higher then it and the wind changed some. Oh Crap there they are bedded 80 yards in front of me I was looking at the wrong trees! So I slide back behind my tree and go the other way. There is two trees between me and them and if I can get there its less then a 50 yard shot. I get about 10 feet from were I want to be and I can see the velvet rack of one of the buck over the top of the tree. Its ON just a few more steps and I can post my pics on CW.com. One buck stands up then another all I need is for one to walk to the right 2 steps and I got the shot! The third buck jumps up and all three run the wrong way and over the hill they go. Three of the biggest bucks I have ever put a stalk on GONE. It was the best day I have had this year hunting it was Awesome! Still have no idea what happened but I'm sure they must have winded me. Can't wait to get out and do it again. Little do they know I got a Oct. rifle tag there and a 270win. 140gr. Accubond with one of there names on it!
