    whats your range?

Deer in sight arrow in flight! I practice much further then I would like to shoot at an animal and I'm confident shooting at what I practice at so if it presents it's self and there are no other options I'm confident to make the longer shot. How is that for not tossing out a yardage.

I go over on one of the first targets on the Hunter or Field round they are 80+ yards and we have them marked with rows of rocks every 10 yards. I do it there because there will be no one there and you can not really walk up in front of every one and shoot on the other ranges. The trails to get to them are at the north end of the parking lot then to your left.

You do this for fine tuning center shot. I start by shooting groups at 20 yards. From my group at 20 yards i will hang a string from usually the center or best shot arrow with a weight at the end as a plumb bob. Then step back to 30 yards and use your 20 pin and aim at the same spot and shoot a group they will be low but look at left and right if they are left move your rest the the right till you group on the string and if they are right of the string move the rest left till you group on the string. You will not need to move your rest much at all. Then I shoot my 20 pin at the same spot but at 40 yards and move the rest if need be. You can walk back as much as you like but I find 40 works best for me. I do this after paper tuning. Paper tuning is just a starting point. This will fine tune it. There are some great write ups on Archery Talk on this topic with diagrams showing what to do.

    Lesnar or Mir?

Your right he is still a Rookie that's why I want him to loose again. He needs a more technical MMA fighter to take the belt from him.

    Lesnar or Mir?

Brock will probably take him to to the ground and lay on top of Mir and pound him like he does in all his fights. But I would love to see Mir snap the ankle this time or a Rear Naked till the big guy passes out would be great if Mir could get his arm around his big nugget!I'm sure who ever wins will end up fighting that Idiot Kimbo. I hope he does not even make the first cut on the Ultimate Fighter. I guess we are not answering your questions. I would love to see Mir round 2 submission.

    What rifle is better!!!

A friend of mine has the 700 VTR in .308 with the triangular barrel and loves it. So far he has had very good luck with factory ammo. Thinking of getting one my self just wish they had it in 270 wsm or 300.
  17. My mom and dad are in Alaska this week. I talked my mom early and dad was fishing for salmon around Homer some place. That is more my kinda vacation! But this has been a blast also 100 times better then were I could be. At Work! Its the first time my mom has been to Alaska and my dad has not been since he was stationed there in the Air Force. She said they wish they would have gone years ago.
  18. That would be me! Just down here with the wife and kids. We are here till next Sat. The wifes family rents a house down here so we come hang out for the week. I like it but kinda feel out of place here. To Yuppy for me I would rather be in the woods

    Thieves suck!!!

Sorry about your camera man! These guys suck. I hate thieves. I would have posted the pics on my first post but thats just me. Did you leave another cam up there to catch the scum bag returning it? That way you do not post pic of this thief that was nice enough to bring it back if someone else took it after he/they taped it back up two weeks ago? Sorry GH it can go away now.
