It's on the low end for me but I would have no issues with it. Love my 270! Nosler Partition or equivalen. Lots of great bullets for the 270. And as with any caliber shot placement is everything!

Nothing illegal about it. Sounds like a good plan to me. If other animals get to it also it won't last long. I have seen a 40 lb bag gone in a couple days if pigs of a pack of Codi's get to it.
