Coues Video
CouesWhitetail replied to trophyhnter's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
trophyhntr, no, anyone can do it. The forum software used to do it automatically, then the forum software creators decided to change that. Lot of forum owners have complained and so soon they will be changing it back. But in the meantime, you can embed youtube videos using media tags like this: When you have a youtube video, use the share tab on the youtube page where your video is and copy the URL there so that you can paste it in the forum. (if you happen to be using the latest Internet Explorer version 11, you will likely be unable to paste the link and will have to use Mozilla firefox until the forum software people fix that glitch too). type media tags on each end of the url...basically they are the word media with brackets on each side of the word. Note the beginning tag has no / and then ending tag does. I added a space at the end of the last media word and before the bracket so that it will show the tags, but remove the space when you do it. It's possible it won't show for you anyway, but they are just the square brackets with the word media. the address (URL) to the video on youtube goes in between those two tags. -
In the last year or so Havalon came out with a slightly larger and thicker bladed knife called the Baracuta Blaze Hunter's knife. So if you like the Havalons, but want something with a little more strength and size, this might be the one for you. I carry that new knife plus the regular Havalon piranta and some of the fish filet havalons in the CouesWhitetail.com store. here is the link to the Havalon Baracuta blaze http://store.coueswhitetail.com/havalon-baracuta-blaze/

This was a very thoughtful event Mulepackhunter! I think it's a great way to help out the site with a donation. Thank you, I appreciate it very much! I have been in touch with the winning bidder and he is sending the money to me. Thanks to all who bid!

The brand of quadcopter is a DJI Phantom 2 with a zenmuse gimbal to stabilize the GoPro 3 camera. It's not really a good setup to film wildlife because the gopro has such a wide angle lens and there is no zoom on it and the quadcopter is so loud that it would be hard to get close to animals. DJI makes bigger 'copters that can carry larger cameras. A lot of film makers use the larger ones.

AZhuntingaddict.....have you been filming with your helicopters and planes? post up some video if you want. NRS, great idea on the sticker shot! Thanks everyone for all the kind comments. Like AZhuntingaddict said, it's not for the faint of heart....it's nerve racking flying so much money out over canyons and cliffs and water! There are quadcopter forums and I have been reading about guys crashing these things all the time or even worse, they receive some sort of interference and just fly away and get lost somewhere! Keeping my fingers crossed that this doesn't happen to my quadcopter!

I wondered how long it would take before someone noticed the beer bottles! I almost edited that part out, but wanted to see how long it would take for some to see it. I didn't notice them for quite awhile when I was filming it! When I filmed all that stuff I did not have a monitor to view what I was filming. It's pretty challenging to get the shot when you can't see what you are doing, but the GoPro has a wide angle lens, so even if I was off center I usually got close to what I wanted. However, I am getting a first person view system tmrw and will be able to monitor what I am filming. That will help quite a bit to set up good shots instead of just hoping I am aiming well.

About half a mile range. And over 1000 ft straight up. And if it loses signal with remote, it goes into autopilot and flies back to where you took off from, assuming it has enough battery power left and there are no obstacles between you and it.

Good idea Bonecollector....6anut, when you hit View New Content, look on the results page and in the lefthand margin you can choose forums, members, etc. Maybe it's not on forums anymore?

working fine for me on my phone and computer.... If you have the option, try a different internet browser...maybe some kind of conflict with your browser? I am using IE explorer and Firefox and it's working. My phone is android.

Just an fyi, all camps are listed in the right hand sidebar of the forum if you are looking at the main board index (not the view new content page or other subpages). If you are on the main home page for the forum, scroll down and look on righthand side for the White box that say Outdoor Skills Events calendar. It lists all the camps that are available. You can scroll within that white calendar box to see events further in the future. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/
