Repairing hiking boot with Mcnett seam grip
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Other Hunting Gear
Ok, I will watch for it to start peeling and let you know. I tried to clean the boot well in the hopes it would stay stuck on there. I searched online and didn't see where anyone had used this product to repair a boot, but it sure seems like it's going to work great. -
I completely agree that this was most likely not a predation attempt by the snake, but instead the snake was just trying to defend itself after the hawk grabbed it. Both the snake and hawk benefited from Scotts efforts!

Nice pics, thanks for posting them! Your dad should be happy with any of those bulls! One has the extra point to make him a 7x6 and the other has those ridiculously long brow tines....cool finds.

So I was outside filling my hummingbird feeder when I hear an elk bugle across the street from me! I turned around but quickly realized it was the ringtone on a guys phone! He was up on his roof working on his cooler and his phone kept ringing, which meant the elk kept bugling!! Thought you all would get a kick out of it!

McCain is pushing legislation to allow hunters to take buffalo in the Grand Canyon National Park (which is currently closed to hunting like all national parks are). CW member Lance Crowther is quoted in the article....go Lance! http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/06/14/sen-mccain-pushes-plan-to-manage-grand-canyon-bison/

Did you lose a trail camera in Mt Bigelow area?
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Lost and Found
I specifically asked AGFD this question and they assured me that there was no secret legal action being planned as there was no illegal activity on the part of the trail cam owner. They told me the USFS considers this abandoned property and the AGFD considers it more like stolen property and they want to see it returned to the owner. -
Did you lose a trail camera in Mt Bigelow area?
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Lost and Found
Yes....exactly...I don't know why someone would take it, but if the unfortunate owner contacts me, maybe we can get them their camera back. -
fyi....I guess REI already thought of my idea of using tenacious tape and seam grip in a repair kit! You might want this kit: http://www.rei.com/product/783048/gear-aid-seam-grip-field-repair-kit#video-inner

I just got some of this product, which can be used not only to seal seams, but to patch holes. It comes in two sizes, the 8 oz is a big tube that can be used for a lot of patching. https://www.mcnett.com/gearaid/seam-grip#10510 Tenacious tape is another good product and you might be able to use both together for larger patches.
