Oh man, that's terrible!! It takes so much for it all to come together for that opportunity! But don't give up! You just never know....sometimes the best moments in hunting come right after the worst! Go for it!

There are actually two ways you can attach the Jim White adapters. One is the way that Kaffer62 describe it. There is a post and a receiver cylinder. The post screws into your binos and the cylinder screws on to your tripod head plate. The post attached to your binos slids into the cylinder receiver that is attached to your tripod plate. You can leave the post screwed into the binos all the time and when you want to move just lift them up and pull them out of the cylinder. This is the method most people use and is very secure. Even if you tip your tripod onto it's side, the binos won't slide out. Many years ago I knocked my tripod over and the binos stayed attached to the adapter. The only way to shake your binos loose would be to actually turn your tripod exactly upside down. Another way to attach them is to skip using the cylinder and just screw the post directly to your binoculars and tripod head plate. Then just leave the post and plate attached to binos and when you are ready to glass, just slide the plate into the tripod head. With this method, even if you turn your tripod upside down, the binos stay attached.

It's just ridiculous how good your photos are Doug!! Thanks for sharing your talent with us! The clouds in that first photo really add to the emotion of the photo!

Hope you have a great birthday!

Your parents were both amazing and it's sad to lose them both so close to each other. But, as you said, now they can be together in heaven. I love the photo of your dad and the bomber. I just finished re-reading Unbroken (about Louis Zamperini a WWII bomber/survivor) and those planes were so dangerously unstable to fly most of the time! It's amazing he completely 33 missions safely! I am sure he has some unbelievable stories to tell. I am glad he had such a great life!

CouesWhitetail replied to Maverick351's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
It is illegal.... from page 106 of the hunt regs, which is followed up with more detail on page 125 R12-4-303 4 Using edible or ingestible substances, other than water or salt based products produced for the livestock industry, to aid in the taking of big game is unlawful. -
