Hope you have a great hunt. I love this time of year too! Can't stand it that I am in the office at home today instead of scouting! But I have to get some work done sometime! Going scouting tomorrow and Fri. Then turkey hunting for several days. Then helping a friend on a Coues hunt. Can't wait. Amanda

Great story Brian! I don't kill the snakes either. I think they are way cool. And thank god they rattle or I would be in a world of hurt. The only snakes I have seen out in the last week were gopher snakes (bull snakes some people call them). But if they are active, so are the rattlers. Amanda

Bummer, I sure hope my gun never does that. It would scare the crap out of me. Good reminder to always point your muzzle in a safe direction! Dodger, I can see why 32 seems like bad karma to you! That's a bunch of bad luck! I had a bad flat in 32 once and couldn't get the tire off myself due to stripped lugnuts. I waited for quite awhile and then some nice guys came by. It took us a very long time to get it off. I can't remember what eventually worked, but we tried every tool and wrench we each had. Thank God those guys stopped to help. Amanda

Sorry to hear you are leaving GMM. I don't know exactly which posts you are concerned about. Seems to me the thread on illegals is about the only political post going on and it does have to do with hunting, although that thread certainly touched on other issues related to illegal immigration. Have their been many other political threads lately? Maybe I missed them while I was on vacation? I suggest if anyone sees a lack of threads that interest you, then start a new topic and get a discussion going about something you want discussed that relates to Coues deer hunting. And as always, you can report posts that you think are inappropriate to me and the moderators. I hope you would reconsider leaving GMM. Some of your posts were extremely informative about Coues Deer hunting. Amanda

The email you sent says it's illegal to carry a firearm/handgun during an archery hunt. But there is something in the email about a proposed rule change which would make it legal. Since I don't know the source of the email I didn't want to post it here. Seems pretty clear that it is currently illegal to carry a handgun on an archery hunt. Amanda

Hi guys, I know there have been lots of database errors in the last few weeks and several again this morning. I am working with tech support to get this resolved. So far the fixes they give me don't seem to do more than get me through the problem for a short time. I am hoping we will find a final solution soon. However, I leave to help on a kaibab hunt tomorrow a.m. and so it may have to wait again for another week. But I have been working on it for a few days and hopefully I will get more answers today. I will be going for 100 inch or better. But a couple years ago I held out for that and came home empty handed. I want some meat in the freezer, so if I can't find a big boy, I will shoot a smaller one. I would really love to get a non-typical buck, so anything unusual looking might get me to pull the trigger. Nice photo! Looks good on your truck! Bowhuntcoues, how are you inserting pics in your posts? By using the attachments button or the IMG button? Either way will let you insert more than one pic, but they have different instructions. I assume you are using the attachments button and you just need to add one file, then browse for the next one and add it. Then both will show in the post.
