    Scouting trips "pics"

No, it won't affect us. I just emailed Scott to ask him. I will be hunting with Scott and his family during that unit 27 hunt. Lucky me! Scott, post another pic of your 30's so people can see what you are using to "reach out there". Some new people on the forum might not know what your glassing with. Amanda

    We're BAAACK

Deerslam, When you do the View New Posts button, look to the left of the topics that it lists. There is a little square orange icon. Click on that and it will take you the first unread message in that thread. Amanda

    They're in big trouble.....

Wow!!!! some excellent bucks to be sure. Good luck with the hunt! Amanda
  6. I have seen it before in the Galiuros, several years ago. And that was the only time. It was great to see!! I never got a photo of them though since I didn't have a camera at the time. Nice that you got a pic! Amanda

    Are they done growing?

I think he isn't done growing yet. It's not even Sept. I think most of the antler rubbing is done in October, although some in Sept. I would guess you could get 1 inch nubs on those g-3's. Amanda

Scouting pics of bears and lots of bucks

Wow, those are some nice deer. Hope you guys have some luck bowhunting. Amanda
  9. AGFD has asked me to post this flyer to help remind archery deer hunters of their responsibility to report any deer harvested to AGFD within 10 days. This law passed in 2004 and so far hunter compliance has been very weak. AGFD has been lenient so far, but may start issuing citations for failing to comply. Please read the following flyer for info on reporting your harvest: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/Arch%20Deer%20Flyer.pdf Amanda

    avatar help

I am guessing your photo is too large. For the Avatar, the pic has to be no bigger than 64 pixels by 64 pixels in size and no larger than 20KB. The following file types are allowed: gif, jpeg, jpg, swf, png. Go to My Controls, Edit Avatar Settings, and then either enter a link to the photo if it's already online somewhere, or upload the image from your computer. Having the wrong file size is usually the reason for any problems loading an avatar. Amanda

Congratulations Bill!! Nice you guys could meet. Amanda

    24A

I think it will be quite crowded, and I argued heavily against it, but hey, the commission and dept think it's grand opportunity. If people who have that tag write a letter saying what they think after the hunt, perhaps someone will listen. Fortunately in 24A there is some moderate seperation between coues and mule deer habitat. Amanda

    Tripods for spotting scopes

I don't know anyone who carries two tripods. Switching out isn't a problem if you have a tripod head with a plate system like the Jim White tripod head or ph157q. For those who want to check out the heads and tripods for sale on this site, here is the link: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/tripods_adaptor.htm I just got a velbon sherpa 600RA and it's super stable. I had a velbon maxi 343e which was decent and light, but not good when trying to videotape stuff, a little bump and it would shake too much. The 600ra is extremely stable though. Amanda

    We're BAAACK

Tech support says the avatar files are gone. They don't say why, just that they are not on the old forum or the new one now. So, I recommend that if you want an avatar, just reload the image. Amanda here is a link on how to post an avatar http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...?showtopic=1657 Amanda

    Forum will be moving

Hi All, Just a note to let you know that the forum will be moved to another location. I expect it to be accessible at the same link for you guys, but if you have trouble finding the forum, just look on the main page of CouesWhitetail.com and I will have the link posted in the What's New table. The transfer might take 72 hrs to complete. I am hoping this transfer will take care of the many SQL database errors we have been getting in the last year or so. Thanks for your patience. Amanda

    How Do You Practice

Sounds like you have some great dedication there Dave. I hope your new program works out for you. Great idea video taping yourself. I bet we could all benefit from that kind of critique to look at form and movement while shooting. Amanda
