Small game hunting
CouesWhitetail replied to GameHauler's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Generally, if you just open the hood of the truck whenever you aren't driving it, then they will leave. That's how they avoid the problem at the Arboretum where my husband works. They have found it to be very effective. I think the packrats like a dark area to build a nest and by opening the hood you let all the light in and it's not so inviting. It may also not be as good a shelter at night too with the hood open. You can also live trap them (better than possibly having your dog or young child eat poison). We had one in our attic and trapped it pretty easily. Had to borrow a live trap. Maybe animal control will loan you one? Amanda -
Excellent pics Doug and sounds like you guys had a fun time!! Amanda

CouesWhitetail.com seat cushion?
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Yes, I agree about the flaw in being vinyl, but I think if I went to canvas it would have to be embroidered rather than screenprinted and the cost would go way up. Ugh..... I was thinking that duct tape would fix the holes in the vinyl and keep new ones from forming! Gotta love GRONG orange! Amanda -
Thanks kevinK and coosefan

Well, you will have to at least wait to start the diet until after her cake and ice cream for her bday party on the 5th! She's a cool looking dog. never heard of a silver lab. Amanda

Yeah, I am tempted to get that rottweiller, it was a young male. Not sure I want a male dog though. We have always had females and I still have my dog Molly. But he was so friendly and happy, I just wanted to take him home. Amanda

Nice job Scott! Martin just left here a minute ago....he had brought over the video of your elk and I burned it to DVD for both of you. Nice bull. Congratulations! Amanda

nice looking dog there Tony!! What kind is she? How did you end up with her? We might be getting a new dog soon. Someone offered us a golden retriever. I also went to the pound today to check out what they had. Had some beautiful labs and rottweillers and a funky sharpai (sp?) mix. Amanda

Mike, Have you ever glassed using a ball head before? It takes a little getting used to if you normally use a pan head. But with the panning attachment it is a pretty neat setup. Hopefully someone here has used the ball head/panning attachment setup and can give some feedback. I know I used a ball head for awhile without a panning attachment and loved the lightweight quality of it but I prefer a pan head. Amanda

hehehe, Casey, sounds like you should just buy the Jim White glassing chair!! It's got all those features. Amanda -
mine is the 2nd one too and the forum remembers me fine, so that's not the issue. Tech support said they had some other options to try so I will let you know when I get those. Amanda

more D, Try what tech support suggested above and let me know if it helps. Hopefully we will figure this out. Also, if you guys can let me know what browser you are using, that might be helpful. AOL? Internet explorer? Firefox? Amanda

Nice job! That thick manzanita is tough to hunt in! Amanda

Congratulations! Hard to say the score based on those pics, but the 70-80 inch estimates seem reasonable to me. If you want to try your hand at scoring him, here is a link to the How To Score section on the website. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/how_to_score..._Coues_deer.htm Amanda

I asked tech support about your problem and they suggested clicking on the Delete all cookies set by this forum link near the bottom right of the forum (but above where all the logged in users names are shown). Click on that and then log in again. Then try leaving the forum and coming back. See if it remembers you. And of course, make sure you have clicked the "remember me" box when you log back in after clearing those cookies. Amanda

Does CW.com help your "Fever"???
CouesWhitetail replied to cjw2222's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
hehehe, CouesWhitetail.com was never intended to calm the "fever" but to stoke it! That's why the third video in the Coues Deer Celebration series ends with "CouesWhitetail.com --- FUEL YOUR PASSION!!" Have you watched those videos? They really help....LOL! http://www.coueswhitetail.com/video_clips/video_clips.htm Amanda -
Sorry to hear about Hurly, sounds like he was a great companion and worker. Do you have a photo of him? email it to me and I can post it in the thread or you can, whichever works best for you. How great that you had such good adventures with him. Amanda
