The three bar cabin is located off the three bar road, which is off 188 along Roosevelt Lake. It's south of punkin center and north of where the big bridge over the salt river is by roosevelt. It may be easiest to just meet Nicole and her crew as they drive from the three bar cabin to the study site to the south. So maybe meet at the intersection of 188 and three bar road at 0430 any morning. They work everyday. here are a couple maps, not sure if they will look good enough for you to see.

Anyone interested in going this weekend? Maybe Fri night to Sat morning? I talked to Nicole and she said they get up early and search for fawns until about 10:30 am, then they are done for the day. So you can just make a quick morning of it if you want. Or stay a couple days. There is room at the three bar cabin with is fairly nice. So you don't even have to tent out. They have a generator there with electricity and I think they have water too. Amanda

Way to go Randy!! Amanda -
Well, it's been a strange year for quail babies at my house. Usually we have lots, but this year it seemed many of the nests failed early and then we had a weak hatch later, but now we have more very young quail. They like to feed and dust bathe in my yard. Unfortunately our neighbor has free ranging cats that spend time in our yard....grrrrrrrrr..... Some pics taken through my office window and some are digiscoped too:

I will get it fixed. I was messing with the colors last night and didn't realize it saved that change. Amanda

Game Cams?
CouesWhitetail replied to Coues79's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Cameras should be in this week. It comes with all that stuff shown in the pic (remote, cables, etc). I don't think you can view the pics on the camera with that remote. Amanda -
Great pics Doug! That 2nd buck looks pretty good, but I hope you find one you like better. "Can't fathom why a feral land rapist is federally protected." Neither can I. Amanda

Glad to have you back! Nice find! I am always jealous of those people living or spending time in Alaska!! Amanda

Luckily the local great horned owl has been picking off the cats, but there are still three of them left. One mom and two young ones. Amanda -
Post the owl and bobcat pics too! Based on the habitat I assume it was a Great Horned Owl? Amanda

Try our sponsor Nichols Guiding Service. I don't know for sure if he would do a hunt the way you are asking, but they do lots of lion hunting and would be good to call and ask. http://www.nicholsguidingservice.com/ They were just featured in the sponsor spotlight section too: http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...mp;#entry111220 Amanda

Doug has been compiling the list of those who entered and he has been sending out confirmation emails. He is out this weekend scouting for his antelope hunt, so if you regsitered recently he hasn't had a chance to get an email to you. Amanda

Sure looks like an antelope to me! Amanda -
I need .270 brass! Mine is getting dangerously thin. So anyone that has some they won't use, let me know. Amanda

GH, I assume you are asking about using the lens pen..... I have used the cleaning pad for years with no problem. I blow on the lens to remove what I can and then brush them several times and blow again. It worries me also, but I haven't had any issue and I have my binos out in the dust all the time. Amanda
-
I don't really use a cleaner of any kind. Just a lens pen and a little moist air from my breath. If you got something really oily on the lens, perhaps any kind of eyeglass cleaner or small amount of dish soap would work. Just make sure you are wiping it with a cloth that won't scratch the lens.
