If you discard it, please make sure you don't just toss it on the hillside somewhere so somebody doesn't end up sitting on it while glassing! When you change the blades, you can place the used blade into the sleeve that the new blade came out of and pack it home to dispose of. But someone here in the forum said that you can indeed resharpen the blades and they take an edge super quick. So you might just do that!

I sell the Havalon knives in the CouesWhitetail store. The piranta edge is the one with the orange handle. It's a great knife and the one most people use. You can get the 60xt blades or the 22xt blades (which are blunt-tipped to help with caping a head so you are less likely to make a hole in the hide). Also, Ernesto asked me to thank everyone for your concern and prayers. He is touched that so many people are praying for him and offering help.

I just got off the phone with Ernesto and like Sundevil mentioned he has a herniated disk at his L5 veterbra. He now has to contact a back specialist/surgeon and get evaluated by the specialist to determine what his options might be going forward. But he is still in a ton of pain and the only way to avoid pain is for him to stay in a seated position. Walking, lying down and general movements are excruciating for him. Please continue to pray for him. He will keep us posted as he finds out more, but this will likely be a long process.

Wow! That's terrible news. I sure hope the MRI provides some answers! I injured my back earlier this spring and I understand how debilitating and frustrating back pain can be. Hang in there and we will be praying for your recovery.

A co-worker found this gopher snake skin in her backyard a few weeks ago. it was super fresh, soft and complete! first time I have felt one that fresh and I was surprised how soft it was.
