Coues Photos
CouesWhitetail replied to muskrat's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Nice pics! ultrahunter, no you don't have to have the pics online (although if you do it saves us server space here). To post pics that are not online, use the attachment feature...look under the text box when you start to make a post and you will see a place that says browse and upload. Click on browse, find the file on your harddrive, select it so the file name shows in the text box next to the browse button. Then click the upload button. Amanda -
No, they do not have to be online. You can use the attachment feature of the forum. here is a link to some instructions: http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...p?showtopic=937 Amanda

Chappell Hunting Productions (the folks that brought you Extreme Coues) have just released two new DVDs. Unfortunately, they aren't for Coues (they are still working on the next coues video). The new DVDs are: Extreme Bulls 5 - two hours of up close footage of rut hunts. and Extreme Gobblers - fast-paced action with 12 hunts for gobbling toms! You can read more about the videos and order one from the video section of the CouesWhitetail.com store. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/hunting_videos.htm Amanda

Thanks for the info Ron. I have been trying to get the wording on this rule for awhile now. Does AGFD have any idea how many archers hunt over bait? Or even if hunting over bait is actually more successful than hunting over water? Amanda

Jason, Sorry to hear about your father. At least it was a peaceful passing. Prayers for your family. Amanda

i saw a sticker while i was glassing some guy driving a rhino up to the red bluffs in 23 at about 7:30 on the last day of the rifle hunt i was really mad the fact that he would drive in like that thinking he would really see something as he was coming in deer where run from there beds and they did not even see them i guess what made me really mad was the fact that i hiked a half a mile in the dark and waited for the sun to come up a hour late i sat in the same spot till dark and the deer never came back the night before we had watch two bucks bed and that why we where there so early at the time i was going to post something that would probley get me band from the site on the other hand when they saw me on the bluff they did turn around and leave but the damage was allready done that's a bummer.... Were they driving the quad on the road or are you saying they were off road? Amanda offroad ....other than that i have met alot of good people i love the site Seems like that would be illegal, isn't it?? I hope you reported them. There is certainly enough anti-quad sentiment out there without people using them to drive off road. Amanda

Thanks for the post. I haven't read the book. Sounds like one I need to get.... Amanda -
We all see those birthday wishes posted often and now you have a special place to post those. I will be working to reorganize the forum in the next few months and this one seemed to be a natural under the new Category of CouesWhitetail.com Community where I am creating forums that are related to the community atmosphere we have here. Well, I spent yesterday afternoon scoring a few trophies that hunter RH Bryant has killed over the years. One of those was a very nice non-typical Coues from Mexico. He took this buck while hunting with his cousin, Jason Sherwood (aka DesertSheep). I thought this would make a very nice Guess the Score buck, so here you go. You can make only one guess and it's for total gross score on this buck (i.e., total inches of antler without deductions). I don't exactly know what the prizes will be, but probably the top 3 guesses will win CouesWhitetail.com tshirts of their choosing. If there are ties in the top 3, I may either go to net score to tie break or just award a few more prizes to cover it. Please enter only one guess and if you can, try not to duplicate other people's guesses so we can avoid ties. Contest will run until Tues Oct 21st at 5 pm. Both G-2s fork, so look for that in the pics, most of the pics don't show the right side well. RH had this buck done as a life-size mount and it's a gorgeous mount by Weller's wildlife studio (the pics don't do it justice because it was getting dark outside). I tried to convince RH to leave the mount at my house so he wouldn't have to trouble with it anymore, but for some reason he took it home with him

For those interested in seeing what other forum members do for work or what sort of creations like this they might do, you can peruse the family strengths thread. Give another forum member your business! We have all kinds of skills represented here among our members. http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...?showtopic=1797

That's some nice work! But I have to point out that the classified ad section is not for advertising a commercial business. It is for selling personal items. So please don't use the classified ads to advertise a business. We do have a "family strengths" thread that allows forum members to see what other people here do. I will send you a link to that thread and you can make your post in there. Please remember that I have paid sponsors that help support this site and it's unfair to them to allow everyone else free advertising. If you would like to become an official sponsor, please PM or email me. Amanda

CouesWhitetail replied to IHunt2live's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
That orange CW shirt looks nice! Glad you got out there and had some fun! You and Scottyboy are making me want to go hit the Mearns hills! I flushed many of them during my deer hunt in Oct. Amanda
