Darren, if you want me to carry them in the CWT store, let me know. Then you can accept credit and paypal payments for them and I can send the money to you. Email me or call me if you want to get that set up.

I will gladly take javelina meat too and am glad to see a thread to find a home for unwanted meat. Don't forget that another option for freezer burned or unwanted game meat is to donate it to a wildlife rehabilitation center like Adobe Mountain. They are always looking for donations of game meat. Keep them in mind next time you have some that you can't use. http://www.azwildlifecenter.net/index.asp

Mostly I use the Hydrate and Recover and Energy and Focus products and so do my hunting buddies. We all find they help quite a bit. In addition to using them while hunting, I often use it for my work as a biologist when I am doing lots of hard hiking. We have even found them to be really useful if you get really sick for whatever reason. It helps keep electrolytes in balance. I remember one hike out during a hunt when a new guy was with us and he was having a really hard time. I think he was low on electrolytes and we weren't sure he was gonna make it out of there. I gave him some energy and focus and it was like he was a whole new man. I try to always have some packets in my pack just in case. You can buy the Wilderness Athlete products in the CWT store if you like. They just came out with some new flavors. The old Energy and Focus flavor wasn't very appealing, but it is good when mixed with a hydrate and recover. I haven't tried the new flavors yet. http://store.coueswhitetail.com/wilderness-athlete-products/

Ok guys, I think this thread has more than run its course. You all know I don't like to have CouesWhitetail.com be used to bash anyone. If you have a problem with Rick, please deal with him directly. I am very sorry to hear that so many of you have had a problem with Rick's work, that is very disheartening. This thread is a very good reminder to thoroughly evaluate a taxidermist before you give them any of your trophies. Take your time when choosing a taxidermist. Call past clients, search the internet for information, ask lots of questions, and look over lots of examples of his/her work paying particular attention to mounts of the same species as you want to get mounted. With regard to buying gift certificates for taxidermy work donated to sportsmen's groups, you can usually find out in advance of the banquet what donations will be available to bid on and then you can evaluate the taxidermists work prior to the banquet. It's always easier to prevent a problem like this than it is to fix it after the fact. Also, please remember that in threads like this, you are only getting half the story.

Hunt for More #19 **Archery Mule Deer Down!
CouesWhitetail replied to CEI's topic in CEI Outdoors Blog
Loved the video Craig. That was amazing you were able to film that stalk by yourself!! Congratulations on pulling that off! And I appreciate all the thoughts you shared in it. I am one of those who trophy hunts but the hunt is so much more to me than the inches. Like you said, it's all about the challenge and the story....did I push myself, did I learn something new, did I enjoy all the beauty being outdoors offers, did I spend quality time with friends, did the plan I came up with really work, was it a clean kill, is there history with that buck, etc...."hunt for more"...I like it! Congratulations on an archery mulie buck and a great video! -
December was rough on the weight loss....managed to lose two pounds but took the whole month to do it, which is less than half the rate I was losing weight at prior to the holidays. But we enjoyed several parties with friends and family. I made a killer poppyseed cake for my family for Christmas. It's a old family recipe and it's basically poppyseed cake covered in rich creamy custard with pecans and fresh whipped cream. Oh man....it's my favorite! It's even great for breakfast! Ate lots of toritillas, cheese, rellenos, shrimp stuffed fried chiles and such on our hunt in Mexico last week. that didn't help with the weight loss either! But wow, was it good food! Enjoyed that alot. So now it's back to the grind stone so I can keep shedding some more weight. Sorry to hear about all the injuries. Hope you heal up soon!

I had some new black shortsleeve tshirts made up. I had them printed with one color to cut costs and so these are much cheaper than the colored version we had made previously. what do you think? If you like one you can order them from the store..... http://store.coueswhitetail.com/black-and-white-coues-deer-art-tshirt/ Thanks again to Hector for orginally working with an artist to get this tshirt design created. And thanks to Alan Ellsworth and Phil Cramer for sharing their two bucks for the cover art! And thanks to the artist for some fine work! The smaller background design behind the bucks is made up of shed antlers.

I don't think I have all his bucks in the photogallery, but many of them are in there on the main page photogallery. if you search for his name you can find them. here is a direct link to the search and it will pull up links to the posts with 5 or so of his other deer. Hopefully Larry will post all of them in this thread, but if not, then you guys can see some of his others here: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/index.php?s=larry+maniag
