Yes, the ball head is loosened by unscrewing the cover and then position it how you want it and tighten it back up so it doesn't move. Amanda

Hey Guys, I met with Christian quite awhile ago and he demonstrated his product to me. I immediately saw that it was a really useful product. I will be selling them here on this site. I will post the link when I get them in the store. Not only is it great for your rangefinder, but also for your GPS, radio, or anything else you want to keep handy. I will definitely use at least one this year. He made a video that shows how to use it and how easy it is to draw your bow while wearing one. Amanda

We were out doing some owl surveys on San Carlos last week. Enjoyed the sunset and some steaks on the grill: Around dark I thought I heard some turkeys gobbling so I went toward it to see if I could hear them better. julie went with me. Heard the gobblers and turned to come back to camp when Julie sees something and takes off into the dark. I figure it's a jackrabbit, but who knows. Anyway, about 5 mins later she comes out from the junipers with an old 3 pt WT shed. Yippee!! Good dog, Julie!!! It wasn't a big one, but I couldn't have been prouder!! We have been trying to train her to find and bring back antlers. So this was nice! Later the next day my husband finds a nice fresh brown WT shed. He calls Julie over to play with it and she does. Julie is a high energy dog that works hard running all over in the hills when we are out. She loves to climb crazy slopes and she enjoys when things are out of control, like bombing full speed up and down slopes where rocks are sliding around all over under her as she runs. Anyway, she was playing with this antler and we were on a moderately steep slope where if you didn't pay attention you would slide downhill. But she likes that feeling of being out of control so she would flail around on the ground with the antler and toss it around so it would fall downslope. It was pretty comical. I figured it was a good chance to test out the video capture feature on my little digital camera and it worked very well!! Here is a 2 min. clip of Julie playing with the antler. We find her to be endlessly amusing. I would try Jesse's Hunting and Outdoors. I don't think they sell the products, but they have an active homebrew trail cam section with helpful links in the forum. Until I put a cam up on that salt block I never knew that bandtails love salt and other minerals. They are very unusual birds and fun to hunt. Amanda

I put out my cameras on natureal food or water sources. I have very little experience with salt, but I have a friend with a cabin on mt lemmon and he put out white block salt and a mineral block and the deer and birds and squirrels loved the white salt and seemed to ignore the mineral block. here is a fun little video showing four days worth of photos from the salt block. You can see that in addition to eating the dirt around the block and causing the block to essentially rest on a pedestal of dirt, they also will directly lick the salt block (does, bucks and squirrels). http://www.coueswhitetail.com/video_clips/...nian_market.wmv

Well, yes and no Doug. She is finding and bringing them to me, but I don't think she sets out to find them, she just runs around crazy chasing smells of everything and if she finds an antler or skull or something she tends to pick it up and show me. I don't think she will ever be a real hardcore "antler dog" but that's just because we don't work hard to train her on it. We just try and give her tons of praise whenever she brings us bone of any kind. Just trying to encourage her natural talents. Amanda

Jimmer, you know I didn't notice it at the time, but that brown shed doesn't have an eyeguard. I looked at some other pics I took and it's not there. And it was fun trying to find goofy Julie music for the video. this song was entitled "kindergarten playground: hopscotch". Thanks for noticing it. WFGinNM....I agree, chewing on a brown antler...ouch! But it's on San Carlos so I can't bring it home, so it stays there and gets chewed on by rodents anyway, might as well let Julie chew on it first. TucsonJohn.....Julie is one of a kind, as are all dogs, but I think the lady that owns the parents of Julie lives somewhere in Globe. I wonder what her siblings are like. She is supposed to be pure bred golden, but she looks like she has a bloodhound face to me. Chef....I don't know which cut the steaks were...they were "managers special" that day so we got them cheap. But man, they were good. Reminded me of the steaks you cooked for us at elk camp! I did these nice and slow and they turned out great. Amanda

Glad you guys can appreciate the video. I wondered if you could see enough to make it amusing if you didn't know Julie very well. She is a ball of laughs all the time. She is the HAPPIEST dog I have ever known. And she has the most amazing 3D view of the world, which when combined with her amazing 4WD and fearless nature makes her unstoppable, but also makes it so I worry all the time about her jumping off cliffs and such (as she has already done that with a 20 ft drop!). Her motto is to go FULL SPEED AHEAD ALWAYS!! hehehe Well, at least until we have to take a break. Here she is napping briefly with a rock as a pillow. Amanda
