It does have the ability to plug in a moultrie solar panel. I haven't used one on it yet, but it's got the connection for it. I usually find it's about 3-4 seconds between a series of pics. So if for example, I have it set to take three photos for each trigger, then it will take one at 1.2 seconds after the animal triggers the sensor, then the 2nd pic will be 3 seconds later and the third will be 4 seconds later after that one. Seems like it's 3 seconds between first two pics and 4 seconds for the third. Maybe TAM tried the three shot photo burst setting and can let us know what he found out. here are two in a series (notice time elapsed is three seconds) here are two of a lion (three seconds) Amanda

Thanks to many of our members for some great donations!

Hey All, Just wanted to let you all know that you really should attend the Arizona Deer Association banquet! There are some great hunts, trips, hunting gear and wildlife art lined up for the live and silent auctions! Several members of this forum are contributing great items....so if you are on the fence about attending, maybe some of these donations will prompt you to buy a ticket. Mike Fabritz (Rembrant) is donating a framed mule deer print from his artwork. http://www.fabritzart.com Jason Lewis (Foundryman) is donating a mule deer bronze, a coues bronze, a custom bronze of the winner's choosing, and two smaller shed bronzes. The custom bronze means the winner can have Jason produce whatever bronze he wishes. So if you have a favorite elk, sheep, or deer trophy, you can have a custom bronze made of it. How cool is that? Matt Woodward (soazarcher) is donating a scouting and map service and also a professional skull cleaning service. Matt owns and operates Borderland Adventures http://www.borderlandadventures.com/ Monty Parson (azsagebrush) is donating two different grand canyon tour packages. The first includes two nights stay at the Best Western in Tusayan, an early morning flight over the grand canyon, marble canyon, glen canyon, and lake powell, followed by a 4WD trip to and exploration of Antelope canyon and then a raft trip from Glen Canyon dam to Lee's ferry. Then a scenic bus ride back to the Grand Canyon. This is an outstanding trip and you can read more about it and watch video at : http://www.grandcanyon.com/canyonriveradventure.html Monty's second donation includes a flight for two over the grand canyon along with two IMAX tickets. Cade Smith (The Claw) is donating two of his claws http://www.thegunclaw.com Hector Albarran (Chef) is donating a Covert 1 trail camera and security box And I am donting a Covert 2 and an Alaska Guide bino pack. And Matthew Phillips (matthewp45) donated $200 to the ADA to help with the fundraiser. Kevin Harris (wetmule) is donating several items including some vintage wildlife signs, an AMDA belt buckle, and some framed wildlife photos that he took. You guys probably remember some of his amazing photos he has posted here. One of our sponsors, Mexafari is donating a Coues deer hunt and a Gould's turkey hunt in Mexico. http://www.mexafari.com Another sponsor, Duwane Adams ( http://www.arizonabiggamehunting.com ) is donating a 1/2 day glassing lesson for two. Christian Williams (stalkingcoues) is donating a deluxe Range Snap package. http://www.rangesnap.com Hopefully I haven't left anyone out. If I did, just remind me so I can edit the post. In addition to all the great stuff that our members are donating, there will be tons of great national and international hunts. To see a list of live auction items, visit http://www.azdeer.org We will have at least one table of CouesWhitetail.com forum members, and we are looking to get another table. If you want to go, let me know!! Thanks to those who have stepped up to make donations, especially in these tough economic times! Amanda -
For those hand-delivering to the Mesa AGFD, I will be there with some CouesWhitetail.com tshirts, stickers and trail cams. Stop by and say hello!! Amanda

Found radio that was lost a year ago!
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Other Hunting Gear
For those wondering it was a motorola talkabout T5320. Nothing fancy, this pair has worked fine for me over the years, but when I lost one, I figured I would upgrade. The upgrade was supposed to have longer range, but that new pair wouldn't even get clear reception when I was only 50 yards away from my hunting partner. Amanda -
here is what I give my dog. It's liquid and so I just put it on the kibbles. http://www.flexicose.com/

3rd Annual Flagstaff Area CWT.com Get-Together!!!!!
CouesWhitetail replied to Lance's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
Everyone is welcome to bring some heads or sheds to show everyone while we are up there. So if you have something you would like to share, please bring it along. Amanda -
No official double pack for the Covert 1. With the new price break he couldn't afford doing another price break on a double pack. I called Covert just to double check. But when you are ready to buy, shoot me an email and I will see what I can do. amanda@coueswhitetail.com. Amanda

Doug is correct. The cameras are not going to be different, just lowered price. They are not changing the cameras, the manufacturer just finds they can offer them cheaper now. Amanda

Prices on these cams are falling as of today!! The manufacturer is passing on cost savings, so I am very pleased that I will be announcing new prices today! I will put that in a separate post so people will see it and if you miss that, just check the trail cam page later today to see the new prices. Amanda

Great American Deer Raffle Flyer
CouesWhitetail replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Conservation Group Events
Glad you guys were happy to see her on the flyer!! Not just on the flyer, but the first photo in the line-up and the only woman too!! Way to go Tina! For those wanting more info on the Great American Deer Raffle, visit http://www.azdeer.org Amanda -
I'll second the suggestion of Covert 1 or 2's.....and the nice thing is you can buy them here and help support this site at the same time! AND they are going on sale today! I will post more about that later. The coverts are smaller than most any other trail cam and therefore can be hidden more effectively. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/trail_cameras.htm

Hey All, Here is my latest installment of the Owls vs. Mice videos that I have made. The video was taken during field work in Aravaipa and the Pinal mtns. Then I use a software program to slow it down so you can see more detail off the flights, and of course I added some music. The vocals in the second music piece are saying "Darkness is Coming", seemed appropriate especially for the mice meeting their destiny. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/video_clips/...s_is_coming.wmv Amanda

The cams have 1.2 second trigger time, and 40 foot infrared flash range. All that info is on the trail cam page: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/trail_cameras.htm Amanda

Arizona Deer Assoc. HELP

Chris, I already have Christian lined up as one of the silent auction helpers, so don't go swiping him for some other duty!! Amanda -
Gino, the batteries are AA, and each cam using 8 of them. They can last like 4,000 or more photos. I did have one of my cams recently not last that long, but I don't know what was up with that. I think it was set to video and video seems to use up the batteries faster, especially if you got more night video. You can buy a solar panel for these little cams. I think Moultrie makes them, I don't sell them. It has to be a 6 volt unit. I haven't yet done this with these cams. for more info on the cams: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/trail_cameras.htm Amanda

Let's hope your buddy decides to bring them to one of the CouesWhitetail.com gatherings this summer! There is one coming up June 19-21 near Flagstaff. Or have him buy an AZ Deer Association banquet ticket and bring them to the banquet for everyone to see!! What a monster! Amazing find! Amanda

It's a Covert II, but the Covert 1 takes the same quality pics. Amanda

Ok, so we have one table of 10 filled already for CW.com'ers but I know there are a few more of you that would like to go. I am wondering if we can get 10 more and fill a 2nd table. So far, we have: Hector (Chef) with 4 tickets Phil (Cramerhunts) with 5 tickets Nathan LaCost - 1 ticket (check sent??) and Nathan I checked and we can hang your giant buck with the ADA collection if you will bring it. Can't wait to see it. I know Ajohunter wants to go, but I told him I wasn't sure about getting another table of 10. This is a fun event and it's even more fun to go with your friends and to meet new friends that are Coues fanatics. Date is June 27 in Scottsdale and cost is $65. If you want to see some of the hunts donated so far for the live auction, visit http://www.azdeer.org we will be having a raffle with 40 guns. And of course we will have some great items in the silent auction. Amanda

AZ Deer Association Banquet
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Conservation Group Events
It'd be awesome if Grong comes and brings some nice WT sheds! Speaking of which, if anyone has any sheds or mounts they want to share with the group at the fundraiser, feel free to bring them. It's always great to see what people have! Amanda -
I wipe mine down with scent-free stuff just to help keep the bears away. Seems to help, but still they sometimes just see something different and have to take a look. Bears are always curious about stuff. Amanda
-
Great pics Scott!! Glad you are enjoying those cams!! It's always nice to hear they are working well for customers. Not often you get a mearns to stand still for a photo! I recently had both of my cams messed with by bears, but they didn't hurt the cams. Even though the bears moved the cams by 10 feet or more and one came off the tripod it was on. Amanda

The babies are out of the nest, but can't really fly yet. Amanda
