Hey, am I being dumb here? Is the rubbed off bull the same as this bull shown below? I thought it wasn't the 6x7, but in the first photo above it looks like it has 7 on his left side like the one below. -
Good Luck!! Have a great hunt! Amanda

Beautiful pic, hope you get a chance at him. Amanda

Hey All, I had to go up to the Kaibab for a meeting with AGFD to help hammer out a strategy for monitoring the habitat and herd up there. The AZ Deer Association has been pushing for better management up there for awhile now and this workshop was part of that. AGFD invited several biologists from other western states to come out and view the summer and winter range and give their input on population and habitat mgmt. The ADA had several people there as well to provide the sportsmen's perspective. I think it was a productive workshop and I applaud AGFD for working to get interested parties together to work out issues. Anyway, besides the meeting stuff, I was able to get out in the early mornings to look at deer. Sunrise on one of the mornings was a beautiful sight. Temps in the morning were in the mid-40's....NICE!! besides deer I saw some turkeys and a coyote. The next morning the coyote was dead on the side of the road near where I saw it the evening before. The turkey flock had 4 or so hens and a couple different broods of chicks. Lots of does out in the meadows. Some nice bucks as well. These are digiscoped pics, so not the greatest. And another group of bucks: Some scenic pics on the way home:

Thanks for the game. yeah it was quick, but still fun. Next time you take a pic for this, try and locate the animal away from the center of the pic to make it harder to find. Thanks for posting. Amanda

Timberland Outfitters is a sponsor of CouesWhitetail.com and in addition Lance and his family have been hosting the annual CouesWhitetail.com get-together up at Marshall Lake. You can't hardly meet a nicer family and I know from experience that Lance knows where the animals are and I am sure TLO would do an awesome job on a whitetail hunt for you. Tines is one of the guides with TLO, so you can ask him any questions you might have while Lance is out of town. I assume you checked out their website already? http://www.tlohunting.com/ I always hope you all will choose to support those that support this site and Lance has been a dedicated supporter of CouesWhitetail.com. Amanda P.S. Just as a reminder to everyone, please don't post contact info (websites, phone, email, etc) for non-sponsors as it amounts to free advertising. It's unfair to those that pay for advertising here. We have many quality outfitters that help support this site, check the main coueswhitetail.com page for a listing of sponsors.

Those pre-cooked rotissiere chickens and/or fried chicken will reheat well and can be great for lunch or dinner. Some simple and cheap pasta meals include boiling water for lipton noodle packets (of any number of flavors...alfredo, parmesan, stroganoff) and then throw in some spiced tuna from a foil packet or a can of beef or chicken to give the meal some protein. Much cheaper than mountain house meals and can be spiced up however you like. Amanda

This was the first time I got a bobcat in the daytime in this location. Looks much taller and lankier than the other bobcats I have seen at that spot. Amanda -
But did you make a copy of it No, I didn't, but I should have!! It still cracks me up!! Amanda

I like the ringtail! Amanda

The pic of that buck is from Dan Adler, Diamond Outfitters, our newest sponsor. Heck of a buck. He sent me the pic awhile back and I have been trying to make a button ad for him using that trail cam pic. Amanda

I don't have pics specific for archery, but you can see some that show aiming point and therefore kill zone for rifle. Kill zone is obviously the same for archery, but just can't take all the shots a rifle hunter can. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/shot_placeme...t_placement.htm Amanda -
Good luck!! Amanda

He hasn't told me exact dates, but he thought they were for the hunt over Thanksgiving. Amanda -
AZPY, It's more like a classic bedroll like cowboys use than a lightweight sleeping bag. It's definitely large, but also very comfortable. Click on the sleeping bag link above to go see pics of it. Amanda
