    forum down

It was down for several hours yesterday morning. And it was down after they did the transfer to a new server last month. Other than that, I don't think there have been any issues. Amanda

    Trophy's Steakhouse - Queen Creek

The owners of Trophy's Steakhouse also donated to the AZ Deer Association fundraiser a few months ago and they agreed to give CouesWhitetail.com a discount for having a dinner there. I am still trying to figure a date when we should do a get together there. It's hard to do during the hunting seasons. Doug thought maybe we should have a banquet there to announce the winners of the annual Coues Buck contest. I like that idea too! Amanda

    Welcome Timberland Outfitters!!

Hi All, I am pleased to announce that Timberland Outfitters has just become our newest sponsor. You guys already know the owner/operator Lance Crowther (he goes by Lance in the forum). Lance and his wife are the ones who organize the Marshall Lake CouesWhitetail.com weekend get-together. They do a great job bringing people together up there and making it a fun time. This isn't going to be a full sponsor spotlight, just wanted to make a quick introduction of our newest sponsor. Lance is an outfitter up in Flagstaff and he offers hunts for just about all the big game in AZ. Check out his website for more information: http://www.tlohunting.com/ Amanda

    Scott Adams?

I was up there hunting with them the first weekend and we didn't get anything. And I spoke with Scott yesterday or the day before and they still hadn't killed anything. The bulls haven't been bugling real strong, but they have been in them everyday and passed on some bulls in hopes of bigger ones. Hopefully the next couple days will be good ones for them! Amanda

  22. I asked Ryan Steele, store manager for Mesa SW, and he said it's 5% for guns. And he wanted me to remind everyone that, like Doug mentioned, it's "up to 20% off" and of course there will be exceptions that apply to some stuff. Customers will be given more info on how the sale applies to certain items when they show up. Amanda
  23. It's true. Sportsmans has been a good supporter of CW.com over the years. here is the ad that was in the paper:

    Please Welcome 4 new sponsors!

We have four new sponsors for CouesWhitetail.com and I think they can provide some great services and products to our members. Dan Adler, owner of Diamond Outfitters, is a veteran Captain of the US Air Force and hunter ed instructor for AGFD classes. He is an avid hunter and dedicated supporter of the Tucson chapter of the RMEF. Dan has been hunting in AZ for 22 years and has several well-qualified guides that work with him. Learn more about his services by visiting his website. Wild Heritage Taxidermy, owned by Dale Robertson, is a new taxidermy shop in Young, AZ. Dale offers some very good work at great prices, so check out his website and see what he can do for you. Dale is fairly new to taxidermy, but spent 6 weeks at a training course and is dedicated to competing nationally with his work. Dale is also offering a completely donated shoulder mount to our Coues Buck Contest this year. Thank you Dale! Payson Outfitters, owned by Eric Santana, is based out of Payson but sells most of their products through their well-stocked website. You won't believe the variety of products they have for sale at good pricing and with FREE shipping. Eric told me he wants to make it so it's cheaper for you to order from him than to drive over to Cabela's or BassPro. So put him to the test and see what kind of deals he can make for you. Bear Mountain, owned by Ed Hightower, has been serving customers in Arizona for 22 years! Bear Mountain has a highly knowledgeable staff that loves to fish and hunt. They focus on providing great archery products, guns and ammo. Their highest priority is being helpful, knowledgeable, honest and fair. If they can't help you, they will find someone who can. Give them a call, check out the website or stop by their store in Mesa. Thank you to our new sponsors for their committment to helping support this website. Please remember to support those that support this site you all enjoy so much. In addition to paying for sponsorship and providing our members with great service, most of these new sponsors have agreed to make donations to our Coues Buck Contest, so they really are providing added value to the site. Thank you! Amanda

Third times a Charm 'First Archery Elk'

GREAT job Ilene!! That is so amazing! I know how tough it's been this year with a lack of much bugling going on. Nice job staying in the game! Hey, post some bigger pics if you have them. You don't have to size them down that small. Heck, I can barely read the CouesWhitetail.com on your shirt !! aren't Sherpa husbands the best? Amanda
