I even drank my coffee this morning out of the packers mug I bought at Lambeau field. I guess that didn't help. Amanda -

here is info I was emailed after the Holder's heard about your question in this forum: Someone wrote to your website months ago asking if anyone had information on Holder Cabin site on Buck Springs Ridge. We had lost the information that someone had done on the research on the site but today I ran across it. The author of the nicely written article is: Hollis M. Flint 1303 E. Minton Dr. Tempe, Arizona 85282 (602)839-3049 The date I have on the information is 7/5/99, so this information on the author may not be current. My husband's father is the person the cabin was named after and Jim, my husband, lived for a number of years in the cabin. If the people can not located the author of the article and get a copy of it, then we can scan the copy and sent it to anyone that is interested. It would be best, of course, if they could locate the author. The article is about 30 pages long. We can be contacted at holderranch@yahoo.com. We do not have phone service in our area. I hunted ducks a few times on San Carlos, but can't say I am really much of a duck hunter. I have a friend and her husband that hunt ducks fairly often. Amanda

My First Giant Coues Buck!!!
CouesWhitetail replied to ScottAdams's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Awesome Scott!! Glad I could be part of the dream-come-true!!! Nice I could be there the first time you saw that buck and the last time a year later It has been great watching his antlers grown on trail cam this summer. I know you worked hard on all those hikes in there to check the cam and get that buck (not to mention packing in 4 gallons of water for us for our backpack camp)! Congratulations on making an excellent shot under some tough conditions! And nice that you were able to take that buck with the lightweight rifle that Trent built for you! What beautiful country and it was a real pleasure to help such a great guy get an amazing buck like that. Thanks for sharing the adventure!! Amanda -
Nice mulies! and congrats on your 500th! Amanda

I really wish I had known the man based on all the great things I have heard about him. How very nice that some of the posts here in this thread were used in his tribute at the funeral. What better things can be said of a man than that he loved his family, made a positive difference in others lives, and served God? And as has been said, I can hardly imagine a better way to die. Rest in Peace Marvin. Amanda

First Coues - on the third chance
CouesWhitetail replied to Sonof12's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
sitting water in subfreezing temps takes some serious dedication! Way to stick it out and get your buck. Too bad for that barbed wire fence, but congratulations on getting your buck! Amanda
