WHY I WON'T GO TO MEXICO
CouesWhitetail replied to billrquimby's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Mexico
FYI - I have read several reports that say Phoenix is the capital of the US in terms of kidnappings. And it's almost all related to drug cartel activities. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22614102/ http://www.latina.com/lifestyle/news-polit...ing-capital-usa http://www.judicialwatch.org/blog/2009/feb...-kidnap-capital -
Do it Amanda I think this would be a good one to do it with. 10-4, I will start another thread for that when I get back from the expo on Monday. Amanda

Nope, not yet. And I am still working on getting the DeClay buck and Oliva buck shirts. Amanda

I haven't but it sounds like a neat idea. Amanda

It's hard to loose a great family member, my prayers are with you and your family as you mourn his loss. Amanda

I know, I told Gino he could have at least smiled for the photos like he liked the hats. He looks like his mother made him put them on and stand still for a photo!! HEHEHE!! I swear he told me he LOVES these hats, but you sure can't tell from the pics! Amanda

Hey All, My husband and I went up to Peridot Mesa to check the status of poppies. They were amazing! What a beautiful place to go look at some great wildflowers! A panoramic pic (several photos stitched together) of some of the poppy patches "spilling" off the mesa. Of course it looks much nicer than these photos show, but I tried! Julie and Sunshine went with us and had fun romping around. Today was the first time we have allowed Sunshine to be off her leash during a walk and she did just great. She followed Julie all over the place and came back when we called her. That's real nice since we have only had her a week now. she is a real cutie! Here are some pics with snowy Mt. Turnbull and Triplets in the background: Some other flowers we saw: If you decide to go check out the poppies on Peridot Mesa, remember you need a San Carlos Reservation Recreation permit. The easiest way to get there it to take hwy 70 east from Globe, turn onto a dirt road on the north side of the highway after milepost 268. Then follow the dirt road to the poppies. Usually they are really good at the first bowl you come to, but this year they seem better off in the area that spills off the mesa further to the east. So you may want to drive up ontop and eastward, then park and hike south to the edge to see the spillover poppies. for more info call SCATRWD : http://www.scatrwd.com/ Get out and enjoy another great spring for wildflowers!

Cool! And the Governor has already promised to sign it ASAP, if I remember right. For those interested, it passed the house in a 36-19 vote. Amanda -
Maybe we should do a guess the score contest on these sheds? I scored them for him awhile back Amanda

If anyone attending the expo has won a prize in our annual Coues Buck contest, let me know and I can bring it to the show for you to pick up there. (thanks Bowhunter4life for thinking of that!) Amanda

Have you logged out of your account and then closed internet explorer and then reopen, come to the forum and log in. Maybe that will reset your settings? Amanda

Wow, that is so horrible. I pray the family can stay together during this tragic time. I can't imagine how unbearable the pain must be. Amanda

There is a place called Peachville Mtn in Superior that is at peak now too. Peachville Mountain is a few miles north of milepost #225 on highway 60 just west of Superior AZ. You can see the patches of poppies looking north from highway 60; Silver King Mine road leads you north into the desert about 10 minutes drive to reach the foothills. Its a rugged, steep hiking ascent to the poppy patches Amanda

I will have a CouesWhitetail.com booth too, so I will be there all weekend. I will be with the AZ Deer Association booth. So come on by and say hello. If you need any stickers, tshirts, dvds, knives, books, trail cams, etc...I will have them. Save on shipping and get them at the expo! Looking forward to seeing some new faces! Amanda

Must have been your new good luck hat!! Congratulations! Amanda -
here is a link to a wildflower promotional video I made for the tribe awhile back. Most of it was filmed on Peridot Mesa. It just showcases some of the wildflowers on the Rez. flower video link: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/video_clips/...los_flowers.wmv

Thats how it changes on me too DANG GOOGLE. That's good to know. Amanda

Yes, it is weird. I never change mine either, but a few times a year it changes on me. I have no idea why. Try clearing your cookies like Clay said and maybe it will help. for info on how to clear cookies: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/278835

So when you drop down the options box, and then click on the standard option, what happens? Just click on the text and that is how it's selected. It doesn't really highlight the box or have a check box or anything like that. Amanda

WHY I WON'T GO TO MEXICO
CouesWhitetail replied to billrquimby's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Mexico
According to the FBI that is about the same number of people murdered in the US every year (not every 3 years as your statistic was). I wonder what the per capita ratio is? I imagine the murder rate is still higher in Mexico. Amanda -
Hope you have a great day my friend!! Thanks again for supporting CouesWhitetail.com as a sponsor! Amanda

I'm having trouble also. Never have before this is what it says when I try to upload a pic. Upload failed. Please ask the administrator to check the settings and permissions Perhaps the pic is too large? There is a size limit so if you try and upload one that is too big, it won't work. What size was your photo? I think the limit is 2MB per photo, which is very large. Amanda Which forum were you in when you tried to upload the pic

I will pray for you and your wife. I hope it all works out. Amanda
