Yes, thanks for the scoop on that Doug! We went out like the next day after you sent that link. It was amazing! Best flower show I have seen ever! I like that pic of Julie too. Believe me, it's tough to get good pics of her because she doesn't sit still very long! Amanda

You are quite right. I thought the same thing as I went there this time. I think I had only previously seen those mountains during deer season.

    Free yellow lab puppy

It's amazing to me how this forum connects people so quickly. How great that a family can find a free, new puppy just when they were looking to get one. Enjoy the new dog friend! Amanda

    SB1200 HR2189

Steve, The bill was signed by the Governor and so it is now law. here is the email from Pete C. (AZSFW) To All: Once again thanks to all of you who have worked to help us pass SB 1200 / HB 2189. This morning Governor Brewer signed the legislation. Special thanks to Governor Brewer and her staff for being willing to support the efforts of Arizona sportsmen and women. We now have another responsibility, to insure the changes brought about with this legislation, will work for wildlife, the G & F agency and the people of Arizona. Those of you who have been active in support of Arizona wildlife will be counted on to continue that commitment. Our adversaries and even some among us have put forth many opinions on why this legislation is bad and that it won't work. I'm betting on you to prove them wrong, your track record shows this isn't a gamble, and we will continue the sportsmen and women's positive record of 100 years of American Wildlife Conservation. This is a time to work for wildlife and focus on the coming 100 years, let's partner together to insure that happens! Pete PS: With a vote of the full Senate HCR 2008 will move to the November ballot. The NRA's effort to pass a Constitutional Amendment to Hunt and Fish must be supported by all of us! I urge you to immediately ask your Senator to vote YES on HCR 2008. More to come....

    Some White Bighorn Sheep

I went out to film these bighorn sheep near Roosevelt lake a few months ago. The night before I had seen a group with several nice rams that I hoped to film. However, I couldn't find the big rams the next day, but still got some nice video of a smaller ram and a neat white colored ewe and her pale offspring. I really enjoy watching sheep doing their thing. It is amazing to me how they move and climb around on the rocks. I like how they don't seem to care at all when they slip. It's like they figure they won't fall very far before they get their balance again. All the rocks were very loose and it was very noisy listening to them move around. watch the video: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/video_clips/...evelt_sheep.wmv Some pics:

    Some White Bighorn Sheep

here is the photo that the AGFD biologist (Jon Hanna) took of the white ewe when she was a lamb in 2006. Apparently this colonizing herd is of uncertain origin. There are populations of Rocky Mtn Bighorn and Desert Bighorn that could have contributed to this colonizing herd. Some genetic testing shows that they are more likely Rocky Mtn bighorn than desert. Having the two subpecies so close together could cause mixing of the subspecies that could cause biological problems as well as make the sheep ineligible for B&C recordbooks. I hope that doesn't happen. Amanda
