OH MAN Scottyboy you made me soooo jealous!! That is a gorgeous turkey!! Did you know he was there, or was it a surprise when he came in? And yes, those snowy owls are gorgeous too. I saw one in Wisconsin a couple years ago. Amanda

Hehehe, my husband LOVES those bean burritos. We pick them up on the way to camping often. But we usually don't bother reheating them. Might be worth a try! Amanda

I have always wanted to get a white turkey and can't seem to find one of those.....Yet!! Amanda

When I first saw it, with that front view, I thought wow, that thing looks like a Gyrfalcon! But after some better looks and seeing its mate, we realized it was a RTHA. Amanda

I know of one person who has a white wrangler in Tonto Basin, but I thought he had it on the windshield. This was on the back window. Don't know if you saw me in my jeep going past you, but I didn't see your sticker until you went by. Who is it? Amanda

Lots of people use the Covert 2 cams as surveillance cams. You can use the Tree60 camera mount to mount it to your house and have it up out of the way of theives. The coverts take great video and they can be programmed to only operate during certain hours so that you aren't filming your family coming and going so much. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/trail_cameras.htm

I also recommend the Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx. I have been wanting one for the last couple years. I teach some geocaching classes and whenever someone brings in one of those I realize how nice they are. The one this past weekend got reception inside a building when the Garmin Etrex's didn't. The Rhinos are great too. Lots of people on this site love those if you want a radio built in. Amanda

Nice finds Jim!! Glad your dog is ok, wow, what an adventure. Julie jumps off ledges all the time and luckily she hasn't landed in a pile of cactus, although she has a clump of small cactus spines in her shoulder right now that we can't get out without pulling out her hair too. Amanda

I don't know. Funny thing is I found the white bighorn sheep two days after I found the white redtail. So it was a good week for finding white critters! For those that missed the bighorns, here is the link to that post: http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...showtopic=18168

Wow, that's very creepy. I had a dream the other night that I slipped into a crevice and there were several rattlers nearby, felt one slither along my leg. woke up in an unpleasant panic. And that was BEFORE I saw this post!! Amanda

Nice to finaly meet you
CouesWhitetail replied to GameHauler's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
Well, my goodness, thanks for the kind comments GH. I just saw your post today. It kind of offsets a friend of mine who says I look way older than I did just a few years ago.....those darn gray hairs are a give away. Oh well, you can't stop the march of time. Anyway, it was a fun lunch (despite poor Wyatt's illness) and I really appreciate you all taking the time to meet up with me. Thanks GH for generously picking up the tab for all of us. And yes, let's do it again sometime. And thanks to both of you for loaning me some turkey decoys!! I can't wait for the 2nd annual ladies NM turkey hunt next week!! Amanda -
Ted Nugent & Pima County Fair
CouesWhitetail replied to Snapshot's topic in Non-hunting trip reports
Thanks Brent and Tony for trying to get Ted a CW.com shirt. It would be awesome if it happens. If I could spare the $550 now, I would get you the VIP deal Brent, but can't swing it. Good luck with your quest Brent! Amanda -
A day well spent indeed!! Amanda

Question for Bill Quimby!
CouesWhitetail replied to Snapshot's topic in Hunting and Outdoors-related books
One of the nice things about a site like this is that if you write up your hunts and post them to share with people here, it's easy to print them out and then you have them in case you want to remember the hunt years from now (or to publish in a book). Amanda -

Last week my husband and I went out to the Black Hills/Guthrie Pass area over by Clifton. It was more than worth it to go!! Miles and miles of poppies in full bloom. So, if you are looking for a place to take the family this weekend, take a nice drive out there in the mid-morning (the poppies close up around 3 pm in the afternoon). It will be stunning! Someone we know was just there yesterday and said it was still awesome! I took some video but haven't had time to edit it. So all you get are pics. To get there go to Safford and then take hwy 191 north toward Clifton. The poppies are in the hills just before you drop into Three-Way. I believe it was mile maker 179. But you can't miss them. If you get to the intersection in Three-Way you went too far.
