Outdoor Experience 4 All Banquet July 15
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Conservation Group Events
We only need four more to complete the 2nd table of CW.comer's. Come on, it's a fun banquet and a good cause and it is during the week, so it won't use up your weekend! -
+1 Although I bet a lot of the guys here would pay to see Lark and Waddell duke it out
-
Big Buck off my trail camera...I hope this works

nice buck! -
Nice gun! Are you going to keep a 6x scope on it, or up the power?
-
Very nice! How about sharing the hunt story with us?

Story and pics about avatar
CouesWhitetail replied to couespatrol's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Sorry the pics are sideways. I had to scan them to my computer because I could not find my disc and forgot to fix them. Don't worry, I fixed them for you. GREAT story and Awesome bucks!! Congratulations! How old are the boys? What a great experience for them! Thanks for taking the time to scan your photos. -
You all have heard me talk about the Outdoor Experience 4 All before. This is a great group that takes kids with disabilities or illnesses out hunting/fishing/camping. One of the kids they have helped is Sadie Anderson. I have met Sadie several times and she is an amazing young lady. She is also a very good hunter. She has taken many big game animals in the last few years. Anyway, she needs a liver transplant and Derek Taylor is leading an effort to raise money for that. here is a poster that gives you more info on what you can do to help.

They seem to be very good binos to me. You might want to call Doug at Cameraland (one of our sponsors) and see what he can do for you. They are a dealer for Vortex. http://www.cameralandny.com/

here is another pic showing how the color varies along the length of it's body.

Both your snake and the one I posted the photo of are bull/gopher snakes (some call them gopher snakes, some bull snakes, but they are referring to the same snake). Most snakes have some variability in color, but the patterns tend to stay the same. Amanda

A guy in KS asked me for a sticker and sent me some pics! I like getting stickers out across the US!

+1 on the rubbing large branches against a tree to sound like an elk raking his antlers against a tree, it really does seem to bring them in. You don't even have to bugle to do that. Do some cow calls and then just raking a tree can work.
-
Awesome!! Thanks for sharing that with us! Do you think he trapped it? Just wondering since he said "caught"
-
Nah, she handled it fine, but it was shocking! I was glad she happened to hear a noise and look over there! We had been standing there for a minute or so before she said something!
-
Chiricahuas..... guess my fingers typed faster than my brain
-
I hear those collared doves taste great and it's legal to hunt them yearround!
-
here is a pic of a gopher snake that I recently saw changing the shape of his head into a triangle shape. the normal shape of their head is like the one you photographed. Now look at this one:
