Well, it does look like a tiny bear cub, but if the date on the cam is right, then it seems like the cub is way too small for this time of year. How big are those rocks in the right foreground of your pic? So I wonder if it couldn't be a coatimundi? The face pattern is just about right, but the legs seem too thick and I don't see a tail....

Well, I was out doing some owl surveys in the Chiricahuas over the last few days. We were done with a predawn survey and hiking down a trail in the early morning, when I see a bear trotting down the trail away from us. it's a small rangy looking cinnamon bear, probably a yearling. So when we get to the spot where I first saw the bear, I stop take out my GPS and am trying to get a signal when I hear the lady who was with us sort of gasp and jump back and say something about a bear being right there! So I look over and there in a spindly pine tree maybe 10 yards from us is a larger black bear halfway up the tree with a small cub above it. The lady who was with us said something earlier about there being a bear with three cubs in the area and so I start looking around for more cubs wondering if we were possibly now between the sow and one of her other cubs. But I can't see anymore cubs, so I get out my camera and snap some pics of this pair in the tree. The sow was obviously nervous and was drooling and making that huffing noise bears do when cornered in a trap or in a tree. It grumbled occassionally too, but it didn't appear to want to charge us, so we were lucky. After a few mins of pics we moved on down the trail. I wanted to get closer for the pics, but it seemed if I did she might come right down the tree and charge me. Cute little cinnamon cub!! and some deer we saw later in the morning:

One problem I see with having a fee with the contest and corresponding money for prizes is that people may just get a little too serious with it. In all likelihood we will have it be an honor system on the score of the bull rather than making everyone get their bull to an official measurer. And I can envision people may argue over scores more if there is money involved. Plus I like to keep everything as free as possible for members. I don't want anyone to feel excluded because they can't afford an entry fee. However, as TAM stated, you are more than welcome to help support this contest by donating to it. That way, the people that can afford to do so can help out the site.

yes, that's what I try to do if I know I am doing some colors that won't be too popular (like the pink ones I got), then I add them in with a larger order. And sorry about your GFs shirt....I will have to do a small order to fill that one. Was waiting to do an inventory so I could order as many as possible. thx for your patience!

David, Have you made a video yet that shows how you attach the Loc Jaw to the rail? And perhaps how to install the rail if they don't already have one. I think people would like to see something like that. Amanda

This is exactly true....I already have boxes and boxes of shirts at my house because for each new design and color, I have to stock all the available sizes and so it adds up quick. But I could try and do a limited run on some blue or red ones. The colors we currently have are by popular demand and are the best sellers and so I can order larger quantities of those and keep prices down. I would love to do a turtleneck type and a camo version. If someone has a good source for those, let me know. the company I have been using doesn't really have anything that I really like yet. The company that makes the new CW.com hats has some more variety in shirts, but they are more expensive and I haven't had time to check out all they offer. I am open to new options and such, but like bonecollector said, I don't really enjoy my house looking like a warehouse! I am actually looking to get a storage area out back converted into something that is suitable for storing this kind of stuff.
