Finally checked the cams after 4 months!

Let us know how it does. I think you will find you want to cut that video down to 10 sec clips. I started out to 1 min and it's just too long as the animal usually comes in and leaves pretty quick. 10 sec saves space on the card and life on the battery. I did find that battery life was much shorter with long video. But I don't remember how much shorter, so I am curious as to what you find. -
Inverter Broadhead now in stock!

I will be bringing some up to the Bowhunter Happening this weekend at Sunrise in case anyone wants to check them out. -
We just had a "new" motor put in one of our jeeps. It's a pretty inexpensive option compared to buying a new car. I can get you the name of the junk yard where you might be able to get the motor. We have gotten lots of used parts from them over the years. Great place. For mechanic recommendations, perhaps you need to narrow it down to a city so people can give you some help....i know good mechanics here in Globe, but I doubt you want to come up here for that work.

Yes, I hear what you are saying catclaw. The other nice thing about lithiums is they weigh about 1/2 as much as regular batteries. AND I was able to take about 1000 pics on just 4 batteries and it was still showing full strength. So, if you can use 1/2 the number of batteries and last 2-3x as long, that sounds good to me. I need to test out how long using just 4 batteries will last on the Covert 2s. -
Nothing concrete. I spent some time yesterday talking to people I could partner with so that I could be covered under their permit and insurance. Unfortunately it sounded like Aug 28 was the only date they could do it. Still calling around to some other tournament organizers.

Wow, that's very sad to hear. May God give you all the strength to get through this. Keep us posted on how he is doing.

I am not sure...I actually don't stock them and sell them directly. That link is to buy them through Amazon, which is then supposed to give some amount back to CW.com, but I am not sure it works as I haven't gotten a check from them in a long time.... So feel free to buy it from whomever and then just check with them regarding which version and if it has the 3d feature.

yes, I would guess you can get a year or more with the lithiums! It's pretty amazing. Of course if you are doing video most of the time, that would use up the batteries faster. -

Thanks for the info Tracy....they say it will take over 4000 pics on one set of batteries, but sounds like you will be getting way more than that. You using lithiums or regular AAs? -

yes, it was right after archery season last year too when she showed up with that wound. I don't know if it was from an arrow, but it's kinda coincidental. When she had that wound she kept staying near that little pool of water for several hours. Then she didn't show up again on cam that year but her cub did. So I was worried she died. But now I am thinking she healed up and is that black bear from this year's pics. (oh and fyi - the year is wrong in the pic of her healed up...it was 2010). -
buy the national geographic topo CDs for the Arizona and it covers everything in the state. I use them for my fieldwork on San Carlos. You can print out the maps as you need them. Amanda

Nope, it's not on the rez, but not too far from it. It's a place Clay shared with me. I love it! Great place to walk the dogs and see wildlife. Sunshine chased a big bull elk when we went in there to check the cams. That's a first for her. Apparently it was bedded in the some thick stuff up on the hill. We didn't know it but we heard her yipping and some loud crashing sounds. I assumed she got into a bear, but then we saw this big elk crashing through the thick shrubs and her right behind it. It was a bit comical to see that small dog chasing the elk. We were able to call her back so I don't think the elk suffered much from the encounter. But sunshine was very proud of herself. -
Thanks for taking the time to write up your hunt! Congratulations on your cat.

Coyote or Domestic dog. The snout looks a little snubby for coyote.

LOL!! Good one...

Hey Bill, Are you going to be up in Greer this weekend? I will be up at Sunrise for the 3d shoot. Perhaps if you have time we can get together and I can get my copy of your book signed.

Very nice!! And how fitting that you were wearing a CW.com hat and tshirt with the logo that he designed

NitroAZ gave AGFD the info on the location of the doe and AGFD went out to find her yesterday. They did find her, she was dead. Apparently she had a dead fawn inside her that rotted and the infection from that is likely what killed her. Thanks to Nitro for reporting this promptly and for the time and effort AGFD put into it. The poor doe...it was a sad thing to see....
