hard hill hiking is what I do to get ready for a hunt. Lots of hills easily accessible around Globe since we are surrounded by public land!

Losing your mother will be so very hard. I lost mine many, many years ago. Definitely one of the hardest times I have had to endure. I pray for a peaceful passing for her and strength for you and your family as you go through this terrible time. God be with you.

yes, this is usually the cause of the problems. When you click on View New content, look at the options on the left hand side of the page and make sure you click on what you want (new content since last visit, new within last 24hrs, etc). Thanks CouesPursuit!

Squirrel Stroganoff is really good. You can do it in a dutch oven, regular oven, pressure cooker or slow cooker. Google for more detailed recipes. But the easy way is with a can of cream of mushroom soup and add some extra mushrooms and onions and some spices (pepper, garlic or even rosemary). Green chili squirrel is good too. you can slow cook the squirrel in a crocpot and then debone and shred and simmer in the green chili recipe of your choice. Squirrel can be tough, so usually people favor longer cooking methods like a crockpot to help tenderize the meat. But a good pressure cooker can tenderize it faster.

Keep it up gentlemen! You guys are doing great! I don't have a hunt this fall to train for, but I have need to be in better shape and get my new dog a lot of exercise. We can't quite trust her off leash yet, but when that gets better I will be doing some nice hikes up steep mountains with her. Last night she did great off leash on some flat areas. It all depends on what distractions are around (ie, elk, deer, cattle, dogs, etc)....no distractions for her, then she is an angel.....I will try again today with her.
