Steven Ward of Ward's Outfitters (longtime sponsor of CouesWhitetail.com) asked me to post this video and see if you guys can guess a score. I would like to make a contest out of it but not sure how we can do it since the buck is still growing. But it's likely someone will kill this buck this year and so we will eventually know the real score. How about we have you make two guesses.... 1. What it scores right now (in the video) 2. What it will score when it gets killed.. this could be during archery season, or during the rifle seasons (hard horned). Of course it may never get killed either. But just guess what it will score when it gets killed. So this contest has an element of skill (guessing the score) and an element of luck (guessing if it will get killed in velvet or hard horned). Guesses need to be in by Sept 15, 5 pm. I will post the answer if the buck gets killed. If not, well then you are just out of luck. What do you think? Video 1

Daniel sent this in for me to post. He used the Rusty Ulmer broadhead on this deer. Rusty says his new broadhead won't be available for sale until Spring/Summer 2011. Looks like it's killing plenty of animals in the meantime though.... Craig Blackburn and I just recently returned from an archery hunt in Southern Utah. Both our bucks were shot using Rusty Ulmers new Ulmer BroadHead. The broadhead performed perfect. Both shots were a clean pass-through. Craigs shot his big 2 point at 35 yards and died in seconds. I shot my buck at 96 yards and still got a complete pass-through after hitting a rib on the entrance side. After a short death run my buck expired in just minutes as well. I can honestly say that the Ulmer Head is the first broadhead Ive shot that really does fly just like a field tip even out to 96 yards. My buck ended up with a green gross score of 193 3/8" PnY. I don't know for sure, but how many 7x2's can there be? You can PM Lance about it when he gets back from his hunts.

DevilinCatCountry asked me to post this for him. here is the story from him: I went up this weekend to help "hunt4horns" on his bull elk hunt. We were running into a lot of bulls, nothing too big, the elk were bugling but the rut hasn't kicked in yet. Anyway we were sitting down for lunch on this hill side, and about 300 yrds out i see something bobbing and weaving out of the tree line. It was making a beeline right at us. I reached for my camera but it was at the bottom of my pack, so instead i grabbed my phone. Sorry for the quality but not the best phone.. This little fella was on a mission what it was i dont know!! It was an uneasy feeling having him run straight to you, all the time your wondering is mama!!! We stayed there about an hour after the cub passed us and still no sign of mama! Don't know how long this little guy has been running lost, or looking for mama. At that size i don't think he will last long.. and here is the link to the video:

The Jumping Jack is made with Marine Canvas. Very Heavy and strong. I had mine in 5 days of almost non-stop Rain on a Spring Turkey hunt one year and never leaked one drop. They are expensive but the fellow who designed them put a lot of thought into it. I Have really enjoyed mine the last few years. Dan does your tent make a lot of noise in the wind? I was wondering how it sounds inside a JJ trailer tent during the wind. Is there a lot of flapping noise?
