Wow, great story to have as your first post! Welcome and thank you for sharing it. Cool pics! It is amazing how the young ones instinctively lay low and conceal themselves. It reminds me of the turkey poults I walked up on last year. Mom was upset nearby, but all the poults hid and never would acknowlege me or move in the slightest. Amazing! here is a pic from that day.

A friend of mine and her daughter are down at the "Junior Jack Kamp" in 36 this weekend. They have a friend who got her first rabbit today! Congratulations to Makayla Our own NRS and his son are down there as well. My friend saw his truck and sent in this sticker sighting. hope you and your boy are having fun, Darrell! Looks like your sticker has been getting a workout

This is a great hunt with over the counter turkey tags in New Mexico. Several ladies have been doing this hunt for a couple years now. I probably can't make it this year, but if you are into turkey hunting, please contact Kathy and ask her for details on this trip. Kathy Greene Arizona Outdoor Women 1889 W. My friend Kathy Greene has started a group called Arizona Outdoor Women to give women an opportunity to learn outdoor skills. On March 19 she will be hosting a warm water fishing class at Patagonia Lake. There is a fee to attend the workshop and space is limited. See attached flier for more info. Warm Water Fishing.doc

Hunting Wolves a different way.
CouesWhitetail replied to bear402's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
Makes me wonder how often our golden eagles hunt coyotes here in AZ....that's some truly awesome power the eagle is displaying there. -
Do you already own a scanner TJ? Lots of the new printer/copiers for computers now have scanners built in. If you already have one you can just scan the pics yourself. It's not that hard, but it's time consuming. As Tony mentioned, you can scan the negatives or slides, but that's a little trickier. I assume you mean you want to scan the printed photos not the negatives. Perhaps taking them to Walgreens would be your best bet and let someone else scan them.

here is an explanation of some of the lures he used, which was posted by Xman2000 : http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24022

It shouldn't be doing that. Occassionally there have been some covert 2s that have taken a pic evey ten seconds like that...if you bought them from me, just email or call me to get a new camera. If you bought them from someone else, contact them and they will handle it. One thing you might try is increasing the delay to 20 seconds sometimes having it at 10 seconds or less hhas been related to this. Fyi.....the bushnell cameras referred to in another post are not Coverts. Covert did not sell any cameras to be put out with the bushnell name on them. Bushnell just copied the covert and got the same company in china to make them.

Redington Pass Cleanup in Unit 33 - CANCELLED
CouesWhitetail replied to monstercoues's topic in Wildlife Projects
I just got word that this event has been CANCELLED. So just wanted to let you all know so you don't drive out there. Although I am sure if a few of you wanted to do it on your own, you can still do that. It's just they won't have an organized event with dumpsters and all. Sorry for the late notice, but I just got a call about it. -
Awesome!! I am very happy for you!! You will have to post pics of the wedding

Is your brother Trent? That packs looks like the one he took on our backpack hunt! He definitely needed one that fit him better. This is an excellent pack, for the right size guy.

Thanks for going out to help on this project Eric! That's cool. I haven't seen the pipe design before...usually they use big round undergound tanks. Did they say anything about the benefits of the pipe design?

I think hunters should hear more stories like this one. Making ethical choices on which shot to take and which to pass is a BIG part of hunting. Thank you for showing some restraint. I applaud you and your wife.

Guess the Lion Weight Contest
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Contests and Giveaways!
Ok, well this lion tricked alot of us! This lion is a female and the dressed weight was 74 lbs. Yes, I know she looks a lot larger to me too, but there you have it. That's one of the reasons we picked it for a contest, it's a challenging one. The first guess the lion contest was too easy for you So the top 5 closest guesses were: Lobo 85 COOSEFAN 87 WalkingW 91 1/2 dzell 92 coues..crazy 92 So if those people could email me (amanda@coueswhitetail.com), you can get either a free CW.com tshirt or a free hunting DVD of your choice. email me your name, mailing address and what you want for a prize. here is the tshirt page: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/tshirts.htm and here is the dvd page: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/hunting_videos.htm Thanks to Randy for sharing the lion with us and thanks to all who played!
