Bull Basin Archery recently signed up as a sponsor of CouesWhitetail.com and I wanted to take some time to give you some information about them. Many of you already know that Bull Basin has an archery shop in Flagstaff, but did you know they recently opened a store in Tucson? The grand opening was in April and it's a full-service archery shop. At either store location, you may try any of the large selection of bows they have in order to find the bow that best fits your shooting style. When you buy a bow at Bull Basin you get two hours of free range time, free bow set-up, and a 30 day tune-up. The staff at Bull Basin can help you with any archery related question. You can get in "archery shape" by coming and shooting at their air-conditioned indoor shooting lanes. They carry a large selection of bows which you can try before you buy. So check out their website or visit the store and let them meet your archery needs. The Tucson store has it's own website: http://www.bullbasinarcherytucson.com/ The flagstaff store website is : http://www.bullbasinarchery.com/

Only Saturday and you can come at anytime during the day from about 7 am on. I think Josh and Jim will be there early, I probably won't get there til noon or so. But you can come whenever you want. There will be lots of antlers for sale, so bring some money!! Also, bring food if you want to eat....Alan will have a grill that can be used if you want to do burgers and such.

Just spoke with Alan and it's mile marker 335 not 365.....so I went back and edited Josh's post to reflect the change....

Thanks elkster, let me know if you get someone to fill the seat

Browtine Bully! Nice title! Good luck in the contest!

Wow, that is sad....

Thank you Leroy!!!
-
Thanks for all the info!!

Larold Littleman sent me this and asked me to post it. He says it's a lion kill and a 140+ buck. We really need to get some better cameras out to those tribal members up there so we can get some good pics of these giant bucks!
-
Are you saying that josh had the wrong mile marker numbers?
-
Yeah, we would need someone to head it up. That's the one problem with the contests is the time they take to organize, get donations and then mail prizes. I am still mailing prizes for the coues contest, it takes awhile to get them all out!

Sounds good, are you volunteering to coordinate it?

Yep, seems the paper rags are more a source of opinions and leftist editorials and less for complete information/news. There is also a new fire in Horseshoe/Jack Wood canyons in the Chiricauhas. Report I read said BP was tracking illegals and the footprints led to the origin of the fire. Fire is heading over to Sulfur Spings and all those nice oaks and ranches. http://inciweb.org/incident/2225/ yes, and that fire has shut down my work in the Chiricahuas for owl surveys. The biologists I spoke with said portal and the other areas on the east side were evacuated. They expect it to burn for several weeks or months....which really hurts my business.

It's funny...we watched the local news and tried finding some info on azcentral and other az sites and weren't able to. Then I checked the forum and there was more info here than anywhere

Boyce thompson arboretum, where my husband works was evacuated and the fire is threatening to burn it. I hope they get it out soon, but this wind is crazy!!

TJ, I only took one pic at the banquet and that was of Gino and Tina. Nice hat Gino! Gino got two hats from me that night and it wasn't 30 mins later when he gave me some money and told me he sold his brown hat to someone at the banquet! Nice job being the hat model hehehe. I will get another brown one to you.

LOVE IT! Thanks so much for sharing that story Josh!! He might not yet have the antler finding eye that you do, but it sure sounds like he has the outdoors bug! Love the description of him hanging out the window hollering! GO ISAAC!

+1 on Zach being a cool kid! He was fun to visit with and man they have some AMAZING coues racks at Chasin a Dream. Wow, worth a stop just to look at those. The banquet was very well done!! GREAT food and everyone was so nice and helpful, it was a great atmosphere! The shirt was the prototype that Hector has been working on with an artist. How cool is that? Looks awesome to me. I only saw it for the first time yesterday and I love it! We will work on getting it in the store fairly soon. Thanks to Alan and Phil for letting us use their bucks in the design.

I recently saw some of the products that Camo Collections sells when they displayed at the ISE show. I was impressed with the quality and at the time they donated some of the luggage sets to the AZ Deer Association Fundraiser. I really appreciate businesses that support our local conservation groups and am happy to annouce that Camo Collections has signed on as a sponsor of CouesWhitetail.com. Camo Collections sells luggage and duffel bags with camo patterns on them. They will be expanding what they carry in their store over time. They also have some luggage with pink trim on it, perfect for that special lady in your life. With Mother's Day tomorrow, maybe these items could be a great gift idea for you! Check out their store and see if you can find something you want : http://shop.camocollections.com/

Are you using aluminum arrows? I always worry about those carbons cracking when they hit the ground after the jackrabbit
