Dillon's first day archery hunting out of a stand
CouesWhitetail replied to gotcoues's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Wow! great experience for you and your son! by the way, I love your avatar! Great pic! -
Jay Lopeman of Mossback AZ sent this in and asked me to post it. WOW! What a bull. Congratulations to Pete Shepley on his new trophy. Although Pete is known world-wide as an archer, he ended up harvesting this bull with a 7mm mag with Barnes bullets. Jay says Pete hunted 63 days in the field and for the most part was hunting with his bow until the end when Jay asked him to carry both a gun and bow. Pete passed on an absolute monster bull on the third day of his hunt at 25 yards. he finally shot this bull toward the last day of his hunt. What a trophy. FYI - Pete won this tag in the Big Game Super Raffle!! (please keep the thread positive....if you want to debate the merits/faults of special commissioners tags, please open another thread for that)

I like your little watering system for the deer....nice that you are making their lives a little easier....do you have any kind of float system or do you just fill that little dish periodically?

I don't consider this to be a forum for bragging, but I do think it's great when everyone shares their hunt stories and pics....it's just fun to "go along" on the hunt with them that way. Same as with seeing shed pics and trail cam pics. You get to share in the excitement that someone had finding those things.

Sonoran Ghost Outfitters is a sponsor here and I wanted to tell you more about them. Chris Jacob is the owner and he is very passionate about hunting Coues deer and extremely successful. He has accumulated an amazing collection of big bucks that he is allowing to be shown at Gila Outdoor in Thatcher. I got to see that display the other day and wanted to share some of those pics with you. Sonoran Ghost Outfitters offers fully-outfitted hunts in Mexico for Coues deer. They provide first-class meals and your price is all-inclusive. This means there are no hidden fees...all your food, lodging, guiding, gun permit, hunting tag, contracts, etc are all included. Chris is highly experienced at getting the paperwork done that is necessary for hunting in Mexico and successfully bringing your trophy back across the border. When Chris wanted to be a sponsor here I got a list of clients that I called and asked questions about his service. They all gave him outstanding marks for his communication skills before, after and during the hunt. This is extremely important when hunting in Mexico because you need to know everything will be taken care of before you cross the border. Chris is great at finding and killing big bucks. Just check out the photogallery on their website...it's well worth a look even if you aren't planning a trip to Mexico. http://www.sonoranghost.com/index.html And here are some of the pics of the bucks I saw that are a part of Chris' collection....I couldn't believe how many really tall tined bucks they have killed! Thanks to Sonoran Ghost Outfitters for being a sponsor here and I encourage any of you that are considering a hunt in Mexico, to check out his website and give him a call. See what kind of amazing hunt he can provide for you this year. Chris Jacob Sonoran Ghost Outfitters http://www.sonoranghost.com/index.html (928) 965-4359

Allen, Stan is correct that Brian is presenting info about the hunt recommendations tonight at the ADA board meeting tonight (8/16) at Bass Pro at 6:30 pm. I am going to the meeting and hope you can make it to ask your questions. This would be a great time to do that.

It was just the 2 new CWT.COM stickers. You now have my interest. Any chance you can show what YOU think was in the envelope??? I thought you meant the deer artwork on the envelope....you didn't post pics of the stickers....you posted a pic of the envelope. -
Thanks you guys....I sure appreciate the support! I couldn't do it without you!! Any support is appreciated and very useful...whether it is through donations of money or items for our contests, or buying products in the CW.com store, or advertiser sponsorship, or by sporting a CW.com sticker on your vehicle, trailer and ATV. It really means alot to me that you guys value the site enough to help support it in whatever way you can. Several of you regularly donate, but wish to remain anonymous or at least not have a spotlight shown on you. I try to show my support for you all here by maintaining a free, first-class site that fosters a great hunting community where everyone can learn and share their hunting stories.

Glad you like it. FYI - that buck is one that Josh (Grong) got on trail camera and then later shot with his bow. Mike Fabritz (aka Rembrant) did the artwork from a trail cam pic that Josh got. I love it too!! Glad you enjoyed it! I guess ordering from CouesWhitetail.com has the added bonus of getting to receive one of those envelopes with the excellent artwork -
Hey All, Sorry you all had to suffer through 36 hrs of no forum! I know for many of you, this was a real challenge! As a reminder, if the forum ever goes down again, you can usually still access the main page (www.coueswhitetail.com) and look through the hundreds of photos and stories on that part of the site. And CouesWhitetail.com is on facebook and you can always go there to get sympathy for your withdrawal symptoms! FYI - I posted a really big coues shed there the other day, you should check it out on facebook. Welcome back to everyone! We had far exceeded our space and bandwidth limits with the old host. We now have moved to our own server and so we have lots of space and shouldn't ever have the problem we had before of going past our limits because we can just add a larger hard drive....Right now we have 3x as much space as we need so it will be awhile before we have to make changes. So post away and share all your pics/videos and stories with everyone. Amanda

36 hours? My math is quite different. I realized we had issues Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, still no forum, now I'm starting to get antsy. This morning I try to log on and STILL NOTHING, FORBIDDEN..... Email goes out to Amanda asking for help and relief to my forum addition, please give me my fix of CWT.com. Did find out about CWT on facebook, it brought a small yet unsatisfied relief. So, my math is 3 days! I'm glad it's over and I can get my fix by phone or computer, which ever is in front of me at the time the jitters start........ Interesting math!! you are an addict. hehehe....it went down Wed about mid day and was back up by Friday morning. Wed afternoon to Thurs afternoon is 24 hrs... then another 12 hrs or so to Friday morning. that's about 36 hrs. LOL!

I kept trying to remember what I posted last! LOL!! If it helps I was forbidden too!! I asked the hosting company to at least change the message that showed up so people wouldn't think they were banned and they wouldn't do it....
