    Prickly Pear Juice

Awesome! I am been drinking prickly pear juice mixed with orange juice every day this week! I love it. My husband boils it down to make more of a syrup and then adds that and a bunch of spices to some generic bbq sauce. It turns out GREAT! I have also boiled it down and used it on roast lamb. That was amazingly good. Of course, most of you know I love to make Margaritas with it too!! They turn out beautiful. Attached is the method we use for harvest and juicing. My husband leads juicing classes at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum and hands this out there. Has some nutrition info on it that I found online. This stuff is good for you! Prickly Pear Juice.doc

    3 bulls from 2010

Bruce Bingham sent these pics in and here is what he had to say about each bull: These first four pics show a bull taken by my brother, 60 pound Diamond Iceman, 54 yards, 125 grain Slick trick Broadhead. Nicked the nuckle bone in the shoulder, lodged in the far shoulder, 50 yard recovery. Taped at 367 and 2/8. The next three pics are of a bull taken by Bruce. 50 yards, Mathews Z7 at 72 pounds, Vortex 125 grain solids. Broke ribs in and ribs out, went down in sight. My 80 year old father who came out to our camp the morning I killed this bull. After seeing my brothers bull he gave my a lot of grief that mine would "fit in the glove box". Now and forever in camp "the glove box bull". It was a really good shot though! Last three pics - This bull was taken by a good friend from Dos Cabezas. Hoyt Alphamax at 70 pounds, 100 grain Vortex Broadhead, His sight pins look like a parade at night. Not going to say how far but it took over a second for the arrow to get there. I guessed him at 339 but the taxi thought I was way low, he gets longer and heavier as he finishes out. He felt mid 350's. Well known Tucson Taxidermist.

Full Moons, Rainbows, and Unicorns =

Maybe you are right Kevin.....Doug always seems to post in the Non-hunting Trip section which seems appropriate, but of course his pics are in a class of their own...as are yours too Kevin!

    Singles Section

You know any single women who love to hunt? All the women I know who love to hunt are married or at least in a very long term relationship.....so it might be a pretty pathetic singles section with men talking to men....hehehe

    Cant post pics

Shouldn't be any problems related to the site going down....Sounds like Bonecollector got them to post fine.. Most people aren't having any trouble at all posting pics (as you can see from all the pics posted since the site went down). For those that are having trouble, are you uploading photos one at a time or trying to use the flash uploader that allows multiple pics to upload? And are you uploading from your phone or your computer? And Bonecollector, what size are the pics that you were able to upload and what size were they before you resized them?

  23. Just wanted to let you all know that the AGFD commission is meeting today to discuss the department's hunt guideline recommendations. The hunt guidelines are sets of policies that dictate how the game species will be managed. Some of the changes that are being proposed are to go back to a year round mountain lion season as well as institute minimal occurrance zones where the dept manages for low or no lions. I believe the commission just approved this change at the meeting. Also the dept is recommending adding a new alternate management unit for mule deer in Unit 3A/3C. The alternate mgmt units allow for higher buck:doe ratios and lower hunter densities than regular units. The dept is also proposing adding late season mule deer hunts in 10 new units. This is a good time to start listening to the discussion as they started talking about the deer guidelines. http://www.azgfd.gov/inside_azgfd/CommissionCam.shtml

    Backpacks?

I have used badlands 2200 and blacks creek canadian. I found the 2200 difficult to stuff all my stuff into, so I went to the blacks creek pack which I like better, but the zippers are busted on it now. But if you are looking for a smaller pack, I just got the Eberlestock X2 (from Santana Outdoors) and used it most everyday all summer for fieldwork and have loved it!! It's comfortable and has the mesh back to help keep you cooler while carrying it. I have yet to use it for a hunt, but I plan to use it on my elk hunt. Pretty sure I can use it to pack an elk quarter as it has a metal frame for strength.
