Lions, beavers, bighorns and more
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Non-hunting trip reports
We actually didn't hear a lot of owls...perhaps a little too early for a lot of calling. We did hear Western Screech Owls and Great Horned Owls and I found sign in that slot canyon that I think is from Barn Owls. I expected to hear more species of owls and more individuals. We will be going back again in a few weeks probably and maybe there will be more calling then. -
Wow, that's quite a haul!! Congrats!

As I posted earlier in this thread and as Jim explained again, this whole debate has gotten out of hand due to a lack of moderation. We are going to take a harder line on moderating in an effort to bring some civility back to the forum. No one is asking you to be a fence rider, just keep the language civil please. I know everyone here is perfectly capable of getting their point across without swearing or slanderous comments. -
So Jeff, what kind of tool do you use to cut out those shapes in the antler?

I just wanted to say thank you to Nontypical because he donated several of those antler crafts as prizes in our coues buck contest. I posted some pics of them on the prize page. It's great art and I thought it was really cool that he made me a Christmas ornament with the outline of the buck from the back of the CW.com longsleeve tshirts...very cool!! You are very talented my friend! Those little nightlites are very nice and so are the bolo ties! Since I have held some in my hand I know the quality is good and I encourage any of you interested to buy some from him. I attached a few pics of the items he donated.

I got the garmin 62sc last year and it great having a unit that picks up satellites so fast and keeps them. I used to have a gpsmap72 and wow, what a difference. I think you would want either the 60 or the 62. Or the rhino if you want a built in radio. If you use National Geo Topo as your mapping program on your computer, then you might want to get the older 60 because the 62 doesn't quite work the same with that software.

Also, I am asking that you all please stop with the personal attacks. CouesWhitetail.com is not to be used to tear anyone down. This site was created to provide a fun community for hunters to share their successes and a way to promote our hunting heritage in a positive and productive fashion. I know this bill has lots of people riled up (including myself), but I ask that you refrain from personal attacks that do nothing to further the debate of this issue. Personal attacks just waste my time and yours by not focusing on what you can do to stop the bill. I am beyond fed up with the personal attacks and feel that I have done a poor job moderating this debate which has only led to further problems. I would like to remind everyone that these comments make the poster and this forum liable for court action. I will be taking a harder line moderating this debate from now on. Please help me out and stick to the facts and not the personalities involved. And many thanks to those that have already been doing exactly that. If you have a beef with someone personally, please contact them directly rather than posting personal attacks here. what to know what you can do to stop the bill? here is a thread with good info in it for action you can take today: http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=31256 -

Actually the suggestion box not working is the fault of some out of date software. I am the admin for the ADA website and that suggestion box doesn't work because the hosting company no longer supports that part of the old software I used to create and that I use to maintain the site. The suggestion box hasn't worked for sometime now. The ADA hopes to have a redesigned website in the near future. but anyone wanting to provide comments to the ADA can email me with those and I can share with the board. Or you can call the phone number listed on the website. -
Public comments from the AGFD commission meeting
CouesWhitetail posted a topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Coueshunter requested these audio files from the recent commission meeting and they were sent in a format that made it difficult to post, so I have converted the files and posted them on Youtube. They are in eight 5-min segments. This is primarily the public comments relating to HB2072 from the march 9 commission meeting. -
Way to go Allison! That is a great family trip!
