Breaking records today! Yes, it's quite a morning on CW.com.....did you see we broke the most users online record (that includes members and guests)? It keeps going up. We had set the record in April at like 1020....but now we are over 1600....that's a 60% increase! Let's see how high we can go! Nice! I and others have made this suggestion over the last several years. Hopefully hunters with multiple tags will spread the harvest over multiple herds and not just go hit the same herd a bunch of times.

I wonder if the sugar blocks will cause the deer's teeth to rot like it does for humans? Deer can't really brush their teeth, and they didn't evolve to eat a lot of sugar. I dont' know how much of a concern this should be, but just a thought. You might unwittingly reduce survival of the deer?

Interesting! Never heard of that. But I have been making my own vanilla extract for baking. It's cheaper than regular store bought, so you might want to consider it. buy a bottle of vodka and buy some whole vanilla beans (health food store should carry it). Split the beans open lengthwise and put them in the vodka. Just let it soak for 2-3 months. Turns out really good and will last a really long time for baking purposes (not sure how much you use on your deer spots). http://www.diynatural.com/homemade-vanilla-extract/

Alan said he thinks he did buy it a long time ago, but didn't know who it went to.....like you said his wife got much of his collection in the divorce and sold it off. So he doesn't know who she sold it to. Sorry we couldn't track it down for you.
