I recommend the SPOT units....there are two main types, the stand alone version and the spot connect that pairs with smartphone. I have used both and I got my units from sponsor Santana Outdoors. I recommend you call Santana Outdoors and ask them about the units as they use them as well. The spot units are great because you can send "I'm OK" messages to your loved ones by text or email. And if you need emergency medical help, you just hit the SOS button and they will send medical professionals to your location. You can buy some insurance to pay for the helicopter rescue costs. It's very inexpensive and I think it gives you 50,000 in coverage. http://www.santanaoutdoors.com/servlet/StoreFront

I think Coues are the best tasting game meat around! Chef gave a great description....the meat is much more mild tasting than mule deer or elk. "It tastes like Victory!" ===> great quote! Although we love coues meat just straight off the grill, we also really love chicken fried backstrap with country gravy....it's amazingly tender and tastey! I also really enjoy using some of the meat to make sausage of all kinds.

some pics from our table..... our newest sponsor, Luke Adams, thank you Luke for supporting CWT and SCI! Military veterans Eric Martinez and Paul Martinez (Eric's father). Unfortunately Eric suffered some very traumatic injuries when he was blown up in Iraq. He kept all his limbs, but still suffers lasting affects on his memory, hearing and suffers from PTSD. His father served in Okinawa with the marines. Patrick and Becky O'Halloran (both currently serving, Patrick works on and flies Blackhawk Helicopters and Becky organizes training for her unit) And of course Mark and Kathi who are dedicated to wildlife conservation in the state! And many thanks to Roger and Ilene who couldn't attend but still paid for their tickets so that some vets could go! oh and here is Scottyboy with his Hunter of the Year award!! Congratulations Scottyboy!!

Congratulations! that's great news! For advice, I would say try to listen to patients more and don't stop questioning what you think you know.....there are all kinds of biases we develop in our thinking and if you aren't aware of those, then you can make mistakes. I read an article recently that many hospitals/doctors don't want to institute simple safety procedures in operating rooms because they believe they are already 100% safe and they don't make mistakes. And yet study after study shows that medical mistakes happen and simple safety protocols prevent errors. some safety checklists http://www.who.int/patientsafety/implementation/checklists/en/
