To Biscuit or not to Biscuit? That is the question.
CouesWhitetail replied to Scooter's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
I switched to a whisker biscuit years ago after an arrow slipped off my old rest and "clinked" on the bow during a stalk! Whisker Biscuit solves that problem. Now I am by no means an expert archer, but I LOVE being able to stalk with my arrow in place and knowing it won't slip. I haven't had any trouble with accuracy but I don't shoot long range..... -

Did you find out what the dr. did yet? -
Charcoal or charred wood (if you live in an area that burned you can just grab some from the forest) is great for absorbing odors..... We used charred wood from Mt Graham to help get rid of odors in the refrigerators in the USFS cabins on mt Graham. worked great!! have used regular charcoal briquettes when at home. You can still use the charcoal to cook afterward.

You might check and see if the refrigerated trucks that Millers Southwest Processing has scattered in the elk units during the season will work for your unit. Miller's is a longtime sponsor of CouesWhitetail.com and has been supporting wildlife conservation groups and youth camps in Arizona for years! http://www.southwesternprocessing.com/wildgame.html

Miller's Southwest Processing has their refrigerator truck schedule posted on their website. Check the dates and locations to see if they will work out for you. Miller's does great work and has been a sponsor of this website for years!! http://www.southwesternprocessing.com/wildgame.html

Saw this beautiful cinnamon bear with her black cub on San Carlos recently while doing some owl surveys. The little cub got nervous and started to climb a tree, but then seemed to ask him mom if he should keep climbing or come back down. He came back down and sat in front of his momma. Cute!

Hey, if he wants me to sell it on here in our store, have him contact me. It should help boost sales.

Sure looks like a sonoran desert toad to me. We got out every year during the rains to look for them. I think they are cool! Our dogs (so far) don't mess with them. They certainly do have toxic substances that they can secrete, so don't let your dog (or kids) lick them! But as long as you aren't licking them, they are not dangerous!

Sounds like a great trip! Thanks for sharing the pics and adventure.

Do you want to hunt Mexico only? or are you looking at hunting in AZ?

Saw this nice mearn's quail perched on a rock next to the road I was on. Snapped a pic with my cell phone. It's always so hard to get a pic of a mearn's!

Nice pics! And the antlers do kinda make it look coues, but the rump is all muley.

Good pic! Hope he doesn't eat your trophy bucks!

Hey, just an fyi, no one gets banned for sharing opinions. He was banned for continued vulgar personal attacks on other members. He was asked to stop (on multiple occasions) and instead escalated his attacks. That kind of stuff won't be tolerated. Rifleman showed on numerous occasions that he was not interested in treating other members with respect. If he had just shared his opinions without belittling and attacking other members, it wouldn't be an issue.
