Hi everyone, I was drawn for my first archery bull elk in 6A Sept 2025! I've hunted mule and coues here in Arizona with rifle for about 3 years. I got in to archery a couple of years ago when my buddy introduced me to the sport. I've been saving this particular hunt to be exclusively for archery, I would like to try and get my first elk with a bow. I am a solo hunter and I have heard many stories about archery elk hunts being very different from any type of rifle hunt. I just wanted to introduce myself to this forum and get advice from anyone willing to give it, i.e.; spot and stalk, tree stand, sitting water, my movement, elk movement etc. Any and all help is appreciated.

Handmade custom skinners for sale. Made from 3/16" 1095 high carbon steel, durable stone pattern g10 scales, and solid brass pins. The steel has been blued to aid in rust resistance, but will still need to be oiled to prevent rust. I made this run of knives to test out some new sheath designs, some designs are better than others but the price of these reflects that, as I was less than happy with leather, stitching and design quality in these. Price is $60 each which includes shipping. please text me at 520-709-5298 if you have any questions.

Going back up. Funny story, my boss texts me on Tuesday to go down on Wednesday for my annual bonus check. I get down expecting to stay for a few hours and come back. He calls in because of traffic on the 101. Had to spend the night down there with nothing. I'm am now keeping everything i need in my truck if that ever happens again.

Dall Sheep in Alaska has been at the top of my list since I was a kid growing up in NY reading Outdoor Life and Peterson's Hunting mags. #2 has always been Kudu on a South Africa safari.

Thank you @wildwoddy thats good to know. She is definitely a nicer person and easier to deal with. I might be interested in trade but it would have to be something i could hide in the safe or fit in my reloading room. I will take a better picture of the tread this evening probably around 300 miles on them. The rubber tits are on the side wall and sholder and the tires that were on the rear still have signs of the tit's in the tread.

Very good friend of mine always put his sons and himself for this hunt. his youngest son got a tag as a youth and filled it. the very next year he was of adult age and his dad once again put him in for the hunt…..he got drawn again. lucky guy. and killed another great bull. I’d say he accomplished what many never will.

Thank you very much. I dropped mine and something moved inside, I can see with one side or the other not both at the same time. Doctors are great binos!
