Well its my sons 5bs bulk tag. We had a few good scouting trips and have a plan. I will try and post pics and videos and give updates for those interested. Went out tonight to a waterhole we like and heard a few bugles which blew me away. They been talking after dark but not today. About 50 yds before water this guy came in. Hope to see him in the morning. He had no cows with him. On way back to camp saw a bull pushing 20 cows hard. About a 310 bull but rutting hard. Hope to have a good morning. Up at 330am IMG_7729.mov

The kid likes to fish, (I do too) but deer gives you more bang for the buck. So to speak. Doe in the freezer- a good day.

It’s been a long time coming, but finally got it done all by my lonesome on Tuesday with my bow. 7 years in the making and what a relief! These deer have my utmost respect, and I have so much appreciation for the folks that have helped me along the way.

They say they want all of the elk off The Strip and Kaibab and will sell you a tag, knowing that your chance of actually seeing one up there is close to zero. If they really want them gone they should not require a tag or have a season.

To be fair, I've heard he flew a week or two weeks before his hunt and they are getting him because the OTC elk on the Strip was open, not because he flew too close to the hunt or anything. Which to me is kind of a bogus charge but whatever. It is what it is.

In 2009 I moved to Payson to start work. I met a gentleman that was 40 years older than I was and we became close friends. I introduced him to a couple of my friends and over the years we have all kept in touch with Royce being the glue that kept us together. A month ago he fell in the shower and broke a couple of ribs, during his recovery and hospital stay is was determined he most likely had lung cancer and passed a couple of weeks ago, just shy of his 86 birthday. Thank you Royce for sharing your life with me and my children and dragging me out to glass for Coues and explore some of your favorite areas. God speed and I hope there is a Tripod and 15s set up in heaven just waiting for you.

No thanks, sounds like way too much drama for me.

You know when it's time to take the keys away from an aging dad or uncle. It was time to take dad's rifle when he was about to shoot a horse, trying to fill his cow tag.

If you read the dude who thinks he’s gods gift to hunting on Arizona hunting FB group, he would have you believe that you can get your guides license revoked for 5 years for minor paper work issues.

"To be Fair" means to consider everything so fair judgment can be rendered. I gave more info on the subject that is all. It does make a difference. I'm not nor every will condone poaching but again the degree of the "breaking the law" matters to me.

yep so is going 5mph over the speed limit. Huge difference in murder and speeding. Still breaking the law but still different.

You sure it didn’t fall out in the Pete’s place parking lot?

That is correct. I'm a Hopi tribal member and drew a Pronghorn tag for 5a, which starts tomorrow. The tribe will ask for Name, Address, Telephone Number Driver’s license number Vehicle: Make, model, year, color, license plate number Hunt # Tag # Scout Date Hunt Date Names and birthdates of individuals traveling with you. List additional vehicles you will be taking. Once they receive the info they will issue you a acces card with the gate code. They are pretty quick about responding.

Commercial and industrial is the way to go, IMO, if he wants to be an electrician. I did an apprenticeship through the IBEW here in Phoenix from 2005-2009. I graduated and had no school debt while making good wages and contributing to a pension. I was lucky enough to get into the utility side of things 2 years ago, so now I'm working on pension number 2. This is where I did my apprenticeship: https://www.pejatc.org/ This is the apprenticeship in Tucson: https://www.tucsonjatc.org/

Go work for the bnsf. my nephew has 10 years in and making six figures working 40 hours a week. High school education. Or be a nurse. My employer starts nurses at 80k a year with 50k sign on bonus. If he goes to be a spark go commercial and union or he will be a romex monkey.

They already don’t follow the laws, how is a new law going to help?
