Got back from a hunt I’ve done every couple of years. Great way to spend a week in June, and even scored on a nice Chocolate Boar. IMG_8319.mov

Helped one of my very best buddies take his first, proper Spring Tom this March. I thought the video was pretty cool, and wanted to share…. IMG_1924.mov

I did a write-up on the hunt on this site, There were bigger bucks taken on that early Kaibab, but at 173" gross - this was a trophy for me.

SOLD Lowered to $999. I will be out around $200 at this price therefore I am not negotiable. BRAND NEW Ruger SFAR 6.5 Creedmoor, never used.. Small Frame Autoloading Rifle, it comes with the stock magazine and I purchased another similar one that is 10 rounds. Box is included. This is the small frame rifle that is the size of an AR15 exclusive to Ruger. Usually a .308 or 6.5 creedmoor comes in the AR10 size which huge. Located north of Oro Valley, cash only and you must be of legal age, have a valid AZ ID (CCW or drivers license) sign a bill of sale, and be legally able to own this. I have a very nice and clean Ruger 45 7 1/2" barrel convertible with both of the cylinders and they match to the gun, 45 colt/45 acp. It comes in a box but is not original to the gun. Always interested in trades but no 3 legged dogs or your broken down truck, just guns, optics or a Ruger single 10 blued with a 4 5/8" barrel or the stainless version in 4 5/8" Thanks Yancy PM me or cell #602-751-2616 $850 OBO

I can get you one, same day. But you need to put air to the oil rails and verify the leak isn’t internal somewhere else. There’s multiple things that will act like the pump & and 7/10 times it’s not the pump

I felt like i had the whole unit to myself I passed at least 10 4x4s that were with does. I don't think there are many 190+ bucks in there. If you see a 180, shoot it. Never saw another hunter

Been tough for most people I know. Few 180 ish bucks I've seen killed. Not sure I've seen one over 190. Doesn't meant one hasn't been killed. Seems some bucks on the October hunt have been just as impressive.

Max points works different with sheep. It's a percentage of tags in the whole state not per hunt like other species

Regardless of when it started, if you have been applying since 83 you have max points. Based on the fact that you ignored my previous comment I have a feeling you don't have max points and also haven't been putting in every year since 83.

Easy for you to say. You don’t have to sit at dinner every night with 4 other people insisting they drew the sheep tag that rightfully belongs to you.

Service was hands down some of the best customer service I’ve dealt with. Was told 6-8 wks and was exactly 10 business days from door to door .

I am selling a Remington 700 300 RUM. She started out as a blued/synthetic but she got a new outfit a few years later. Any and all work has been done by Todd at Southern Xpress Precision Rifles. She is currently wearing a custom painted Boyd’s Tacticool stock, which has been bedded and action screw spacers installed, oversized bolt knob, Pachmayr decelerator pad, muzzle break (you’re welcome lol). Trigger breaks at about 2lbs. Still has the factory barrel on it, around 300 rounds fired. Never changed it because she shot great and still does. Just haven’t shot it in 5 years. Originally shot 180 grn Sciroccos out of it, then started hand loading. Shoots 210grn Bergers @ 2980 fps vey well. I’m sure I could have gotten more velocity out of it but I was looking for 3000fps and accuracy and stuck with this. The pic of the target is when I was doing load testing. Those are 2 separate groups. Obviously I stuck with the upper group. Longest shot on a deer was 525 yards. But she consistently kills milk jugs at 650 and 800 yards. This rifle is awesome, I just don’t shoot it anymore. The older I get, the more I realize I don’t have to shoot Coues deer with shoulder fired artillery! But elk on the other hand, this is just the ticket for anyone with an elk tag this year. Rifle and rings only, no bipod or scope included. Will include load data and reloading components, brass and bullets. Asking $1200

I finally get my bear back from the taxidermist and on the wall. It's not only a great looking bear, but the mount is superb! The cape on this bear is full and nearly flawless, and a pretty chocolate color. Very happy with it I called in this bear at first light and shot it at 50 yards as it was exiting stage left. It took off so fast I thought I missed! Especially after not finding any blood where it was or ran to. It ducked into a brushy creekbed. I had to go look for it! The creekbed was 40 feet deep and was dry. When I got to the sandy bottom, I still hadn't found any blood. I walked to my left a bit, then saw some blood drops! Walked a little further, around a bend in the creek, and there it was, lying dead on its side! My first solo bear! I couldn't hardly believe it. It was a good sized boar. I had to drag him to some shade to field dress it, was all I could do to drag it a few inches at a time. After field dressing it, I saw that the shot went through both lungs. I had met a couple of other guys bear hunting nearby, who offered to help me if I got one down, since I was hunting solo. With the bear in the shade, I hiked back to my Ranger and drove out looking for those guys. Luckily, I found them close by, so we went back to the bear. Using the Ranger winch and a huge tow strap those guys had, we carefully got him up to the Ranger. It took the three of us 2 hours! They couldn't believe how nice the bear was, the coat was full and gorgeous. We doubled a tarp under him and secured the tow strap around it's chest behind the front arms. Those guys did the hard work of guiding the bear up the steep banks and keeping the tarp under it to protect the cape. I just worked the switch for the winch to pull him up out of the creek. 😎

Went on the WMAT side and googled a spot we have been trying to get to for years. We call it White Bluffs, between lost mule creek and georges basin creek. Took us awhile to find due to over growth on the 2 tracker road. Went to the end at the edge of the canyon and could see the bluffs. First mistake we let the river call us down there!!!! was about a mile down a canyon face with little to no trail. Finally got down to the water and its a long shear wall canyon with swift water and deep pools. Sounds like paradise right!!! Untill the hike back out. It was horribly steep and long, almost didnt make it out, and Im in pretty good shape I thought. OH the fishing was awsome!! Never again though
