One of my buddies is opening a new gun store down here, figured I'd let you all know. Grand opening will be next month May 10 and 11. He's got a whole big stack of Rem 700s and a smaller stack of Sig Cross that he will be selling for killer deals. He's got a lot of unique stuff that I've never seen or heard of too. I'll bump the thread closer to the big opening. Lots of accessories as well.

haha yes gouging, you absolutely can't live without primers, powders etc... If you don't want it don't buy it. If you want it bad enough you'll pay for it. Why do people have a problem with supply and demand. Oh wait lets get government involved, that will fix everything.

I agree on greed, but it is the greed of the people buying it at those prices not the business. They could just wait for a year instead of being so greedy to want it now. Again that is NOT on the business, it is on people. I don't care one way or another about Brunos, Living up here in the Show Low area I'm not sure I've ever bought anything from them. I can guarantee you one thing though, If I was building a new gun and needed powder or primers or something an extra couple hundred bucks out of a few thousand would not be an issue at all. I guess I could sit on a nice shiny new gun because I didn't want to pay higher prices or I could find someone that had it in stock and go buy it from them.

It's not the supply and demand that most of us have a problem with, it's the extreme greed. We all mostly believe in a fair profit. And no, the government can't fix it because they are the worst and greediest!!!!

My user name is a bit of self deprecating humor. No one has ever called me that to my face for some weird reason though.

A new primer shipment, including FGMM standard large rifle. 160 per thousand

Obviously the prices was not out of line because they sold out. The days of 1000 primers for $50 are gone.

It would be nice if people could wait, but I disagree on where the greed is by the very definition of greed. I bend over backwards to avoid dealing with greedy businesses and greedy people. What of the guy that winds up short on ammo and has a hunt coming up? Great people step in and try to help, greedy people try to bend him over. Remember the Black Horn 209 shortage. Many of us tried to work together, not maximize our profit and pillage others at their expense. There is a saying, " Nobody likes a pig, but HOGS get slaughtered". We have lots of freedoms in this country but how we exercise those freedoms defined our characters. It's not how much you're worth that matters, but what your name and honor are worth. This Country was founded on the principles of there being a God. The more of us that live our lives within those principles, whichever goodly God you believe in, the better off we will all be. Love thy God with all of your heart, might, mind, and strength. Love thy neighbor as thyself. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Etc. Have a great day and let's all play well together, with kindness, as is exhibited most the time on this wonderful site. I am not better than you or anybody else. But I also am not worst. We are all equal. Best Wishes.

Pretty slick! A friend of mine bought a 45-70 one recently, just seeing what were the chances of another one being local.

Went down to our friends Texas ranch to hunt hogs and predators for a long weekend. Being a Michigan boy I would do drives during the day pushing cattail marshes using my scent and some hollering to get pigs up and pushing them to my buddy. I carried shotgun with buckshot and killed 2 under 5 yards erupting almost under foot. Heck of an adrenaline rush. At night we would use our thermals and knocked the wind out of them. We killed 34 in 4 days and my buddy took a nice bobcat. Midday we went shed hunting and did well. Texas is a place everyone needs to experience…just a different place.

Who made the barrel? Who was the gunsmith? Has it had a trigger job?

I have a pretty old one. The side button is where the selection on mine is done. The hammer doesn't have anything to do with barrel selection on mine.

I owned one of these and if I remember correctly the hammer is for both centerfire and rimfire configuration. Once selected you leave it there for a rimfire. The barrel selector gives you choice of which barrel you want to fire. Good luck finding parts. Some places for parts are Numrich or Jack First.

I have a Savage 42 https://www.savagearms.com/content?p=firearms&a=product_summary&s=22440 that does select the barrel on the hammer.
