Caught my limit today from the bank. Nearly all dinks but I had to take what Roosevelt would give me

So recently I have posted several guns that I don't get much use from, and have become frustrated with members chastising me for selling my gun to a person who did what they said they were going to do and giving me my price for the gun. I was accused of being "Craigslistesh" because the prospective buyer wondered if I ever "get up this way", or guys asking me to come from the far west valley to make it easier on them to make a purchase. Sorry, but no. I once drove to Tucson to buy a gun that a member had for sale and I paid his price, because I wanted that gun. I didn't ask for anything from him! I sold my gun to the first person that arrived with cash. Get over it. To me, it doesn't matter what place "in line" you are. I joined this site nearly 15 years ago to learn about hunting and fishing in Arizona. Now it is mostly a classified ads anyway, so I am sorry that some might be sore at me. Stepped off soapbox

My wife does all kinds of meals like this. Way way better than the commercial meals they sell. Doesn’t give you the trouser chilies near as bad either.

Time to freshen up this thread. I've been working with Fred for some time now, and have gone off on my own. Just set my new lathe up and broke in tonight.

Man, is it really that difficult to say 'no'? Like The Great One said, you miss all the shots you don't take.

My dream rifle is a Ruger #1 .25-06.

Got a hankering for one of those? I always wanted one in 375 or 458. My hunting buddy back in the 80's had one in 25-06. Wore the rifleing out about partway down the barrel. He would still manage to shoot AA in HP Silhouette with it though. Just something about Big Bores that gets my blood flowing.

I've used one quite a few times so I'll share my experience. Pros- Great for drying gear, warming up before bed and early in the morning, fairly lightweight if you can split it up and share the weight, or camping close to your vehicle. You can also cook on top of the flat titanium stoves in a pinch. Cons- Does not hold a fire very long at all. You have to add firewood about every hour- hour and a half at the minimum to keep fire going. heavy for solo backpacking, not ideal for changing locations every night. Cooking on one takes quite a bit of time. Not recommended unless you really don't want to also pack a jet boil I actually really like mine but I am very discerning on when I use it. Most of the times the weight and inconvenience isn't worth packing it. It really really excels when I'm in wet weather. There is nothing worse than spending multiple nights in wet clothing or gear. Wood heat is the best for drying things out.

I am curious to see how these storms change things. We have been watching an area loaded with birds for 3 weeks. I hope they don't move far.

All he does is ridicule the classified ads. He has no intention of buying or selling anything of value. His sole purpose on this forum is to belittle, “correct”, and add his 2 cents to classified ads.
