Do to the work I've done most of my life, my wrists and forearms are stronger than most people's. Probably my back that'll be the issue. It's just a crazy desire I've had for a long time.😅

My understanding is it’s a 10% non resident cap, but not a quota. Could be less but can’t be more. I think it goes by straight point total, stopping at the cap if they reach it, so the non-res tags would be interspersed. Non res may have something like tags 1, 4, 11 and 23 depending on BP amount. I’m just glad it’s so easy to figure out, yikes

Curtis, Bonus pass is 20% so would be tag 1-40. Looks like you drew in the bonus pass. Elk hunter, im still puzzled by 23 over 22. If the 23 hunt had been 100 tags that’s the bonus pass again. The only way it’s making sense would be if 20 people put in for the 22 hunt with 4+ bonus points this year. I’m curious to see the bonus point report. Good luck to both of you guys either way. Both are great tags

Anyone using new equipment for this years elk hunt? After a month of looking (dating back to well before the draw) I decided on a Lift 33 & am setting it up. While I've done well with my 'old' Apex in the past, it was time for an upgrade. I will say the recoil is essentially non-existent when shooting it as Mathews has outdone itself with this one. The one thing I'm still deciding on however is a rear-facing stabilizer to help balance it (with a quiver of arrows). Is there much of a performance difference that should be considered other than weight & balance for this bow (above QD)? I imagine there's a lot of you here that have spent substantial time on this already and am looking for your thoughts...

Looked at one awhile back . Impressive guns funny to watch most shoot. If I do get the desire I'd probably go 460 for a hand cannon . Russ if you do come across one I'd love to shoot it just once . I'm still crazy 🤪 enough to shoot anything once

I have an sig cross in 6.5 creedmoor it has a helix 6 18” carbon barrel 5/8x24 threaded and a vortex diamondback tactical 4-16x44 ffp moa on it weighs 8.5lbs roughly scoped 5 rd mag. I have it listed for 2k with everything but I’m negotiable if it helps get a kid out hunting. Has less than 100 rounds down the barrel.

I also picked up the new Lift this year although the 29.5" version. It's a sweet shooting rig. On my last Mathews I did run a back bar but I with the new integrated bridge lock system and quiver that sits so tight to the riser my Lift balances well without the need of a back bar. I do have a front stabilizer though-- I like a bow to tip forward after the shot.

Newberg did an interview with my pig honey hole directly in the background.... didn't see a pig in there for years after that. We were able to double in there this year.

I'll be the first to say that javelina should not be on the list of animals that you should have to take the meat out of the field in the first place. Props to them for taking what they did take.
