Hopefully this wasn’t the last mature buck in the unit

The pup gets better and better every time. I was curious how she was going to do. She's a little thin and it was cold. Air temp was about 30°, yet she swam out and retrieved four ducks for me no problem. A little planning of her rout and off she goes! Finally got my first mallards of the season, and a scotch double on spoonies. 20240110_094310.mp4

It’s a saddle ring that is tied to your saddle or scabbard while shooting Buffalo on your horse😀

I believe that the coues deer have gone back into the thick brush and trees like the elk have. Growing up you would see a good bull on every manzanita hill top. Then came the the long shooting guns and optics, and 4 wheelers. I think there more coues deer that have never been seen then are killed in a year. And cameras now supposably banned will help. Hunt with a rifle like you do archery and you'll shoot a Toad.

Seems to be nobody hacked anything. Just copy pasta’d his info to fish for people like a scammer… understand? Holy shoot man, you're the reason I stopped being a regular on this forum. Your online ego is yuuuge! Hope you get everything sorted out @UggRedBilIy. Maybe message @stanley for a name change or make a new post so this garbage isn’t on it. GLWS

I am late to this party. I have had American Modern Insurance which was reasonable and super easy to deal with when I had an unfortunate claim. The y had mileage restrictions. I now use Grundy with no mileage restrictions and full coverage to the tune of 250 per year for my 39 Stude Coupe.

I am glad Hunter did not come all the way down here. My cousin and I fixed it. It was not the power steering box... The hose from the pump to the gear box came loose. A few simple right turns and fill er with juice and good to go!

IMO... The amount of rifle tags is unsustainable. Every time I read about a rifle coues hunt it's I shot my deer at 550, 605, 680. Ray Charles could sneak within that type of range. Too many deer are being shot, many of them shooting any buck with horns, and the large bucks take a beating as they are fewer in number anyways. Technology has improved to the point that even so-so marksmen are slinging lead at that range. This is not meant to be a bashing of rifle hunters... it's just numbers of deer hitting the ground, Especially with a few units issuing tags in the thousands, and most in the 600-800 range. People bitched about the OTC bow hunt are killing all the deer. It's been limited now, and rarely do many units get near reaching the quota for coues. Most Southern coues units there are only a handful of bucks killed... Mule deer are another story... I definitely see less mature bucks during the rut, it's been steadily decreasing for years. Sure, someone kills a slug every now and then... but proportionally the number of large bucks seem to be getting less...

Hey guys, January was really good this year. I was able to see a lot of animals and was able to go on plenty of stalks. with that being said, I also got my butt kicked plenty of times. With January winding down. I found myself on the 27th looking at this deer in his bed in a really good area to approach him not being a fan of hunting in August in September I decided that I would be super happy with this buck if I was lucky enough to close the distance and get an arrow in him. With the conditions that day being super windy, it helped a lot with my stalk and I was able to get into a comfortable distance and get a shot on this buck when he got out of his bed. It all worked out and I was very happy with this buck and the stalk that I put on him.

Well what I have seen, is that... yes coues deer are in trouble in some hunts because 700+ tags per hunt is a lot but that's not what worry me the most. What worry me the most is the idiots out there that do not know how to hunt and do not know how to shoot and do not know and/or have common sense! That's what worry me the most because not only coues deer are in trouble, good hunters are too! Ernesto C.

I made a bucket of spaghetti. 2lbs lean ground beef, Paul Newman Sockarooni, jalapeño from my moms garden. I thought I could eat it all. Wrong. Sugar free fat free pudding, scoop of whey, egg white, sugar free whipped cream. So fn good.
